i do agree,but the ip corresponding to hostname is not reachable from our desktop .It is totally different network.Hence we have aaranged other ip also from our n/w is given and we are accessing xymon thriugh that new ip only.but for internal communication of server and clients,xmon uses its internal network which is not accesible from our end directly.

You're missing the point - a hostname is just for human convenience. There's nothing stopping you putting the hostname into the network DNS so that it resolves to the "public" facing IP of the Xymon server.
