sorry, because i ask a lot of questions...!
this time i don' get an email when a status goes into critical state.
i installed mailutils package, and nothing have changed.
but i haven't configured my mailing server yet.
do you think that i should configure it then the mailing will take place, or i should do something else?!
and thanks a lot... :-)
Yes, you should make sure that mail works first. Xymon has a notification log that will show when it has tried to notify someone, so you can check that to see if the problem is in the Xymon server or elsewhere. But before you get too deep, you should log on as the user that Xymon is running as and try to send a message somewhere...

ok, i'll try and i'll come with the new...
thanks :-)
hi,
i configured the mailing server, and everything go fine now....
thanks :-)
My Hobbit server is only reporting bbd, conn, http, info, smtp, ssh and trends. At one point it reported the others like cpu, disk, memory, etc... but at some point in the last few weeks I noticed that it is no longer reporting the status of those. Nothing I know of has changed and there is nothing I can see in the config files that should be preventing it from reporting.
Any ideas what is wrong?
Thanks, Jason
It sounds like hobbit_client is not running

hobbitd_client is running, but I don't see hobbit_client. How would I start hobbit_client?

hobbitd_client is what you were looking for. Stop and restart the client and wait a few minutes; then see if your information is being reported.

That still did not work. I rebooted the server and it still isn't reporting it. Any other ideas?

How do you replace the .gif files used for the status page?
Thanks, Jason
