Hi,
I am just getting started with the Xymon 4.2.3, and am very pleased with
that the trending and graphing I've been looking for comes pre-built ready
and working immediately after install.
I have a couple questions that I wouldn't mind to be answered though...
In the "conn" section of each host, the Y-Axis is in seconds, however the results seem odd as they are showing in milliseconds rather than microseconds. testing from the command line, the results are all under 500us. I opted to use hobbitping, but can move to fping if that may be the problem.
Thanks, Mario
I just started using fping about a month ago and it is much better
than hobbitping at reporting accurate RTT.

Thanks,
Is there a procedure I should follow to move to fping away from hobbitping?
Thanks,

I was thinking anything besides that?
Thanks Mario

See the man page for hobbitserver.cfg. The FPING environment variable specifies which program to use for ping. It defaults to hobbitping. Change that and restart the server. Ralph Mitchell
