The install documentation in the docs directory.
Did you read the output of configure you ran before running gmake? It sort of looks like you don’t have a development environment on the machine (C compiler like gcc), or at least it’s not in your path.
I’m sure the platform was stated before, but that has been deleted from this email chain. So what is the platform?

This may be a silly question, but have you read the install documentation? It's not clear where you're having trouble if you already built the software.
