I think the Big Sister client is compatible with the BB server, as well. IIRC correctly, Big Sister is written in Perl and is available on SourceForge.

Ok,
Thanks for the answers. But why is bbwin compatible BigBrother ? I always thought this is just a "windows" compilation of the hobbit-client ? As fas as I know, no. It's totally other software. For compatibility, the hobbit client sends 1 data stream with all information in it. It's the server that will use this data stream and generate the data for the columns. It's a dump client, the server will process all data. For BigBrother, the server expects 1 update per column. Also, it's the client who determines what's green-yellow-red. So, the BigBrother server is dump, it only displays what the client sends. Hobbit can also receive data like the BigBrother server. So, a hobbit client can only send info to a hobbit server. A BigBrother client can send data to a hobbit and a BigBrother server.
Is there another client you guys know, which is at no cost and compatible with BigBrother ? A Linux client? I think there is a perl version of the bb command.
Stef
