ftp detection problem

Greetings,

I have hobbit setup to check ftp status, and recently i have started getting yellow alerts with the following messages on the page:

  Mon Oct 17 15:24:18 2005 ftp NOT ok

Service ftp on [hostname edited out] is not OK : Unexpected service response

Seconds: 0.01

Any ideas??
