I have a question about the logs of Windows Clients.
Often I get an error message, because of a printer who didn
t work. The windows Client also write this in the logs. Is it possible to ignore those messages also? I know I can ignore it for Linux clients, but for Windows clients, they dont a path like /var/log/messages.If it is possible, how do I have to config the Hobbit Server 4.2?
What Windows client are you using? If it's BBWin then it is pretty easy - just add the relevant ignore line to the bbwin.cfg file, it even contains examples to help :)
But isn`t it possible to ignore it on server? I have a of Windows (98SE,2K,XP) clients. If I have to change it on every client, I will be busy until the end of the year! On Linux clients I can do it on server !?
Unfortunately, the currently available Windows clients do not support the Hobbit way of analysing all data on the server - they use a local configuration file which is maintained on each of the systems you're monitoring.
