It can get you performance counters specified in a configuration file. It has been coded for the Quest bbnt but, it is not hard to do it work with BBWin if you are using this client. All, Apologies if this has been asked or covered before: Does either of the windows clients (big brother or the hobbit windows client) have Perfmon type capabilities? (querying reg keys is something specific I have been asked) I saw on deadcat a BB script for looking at 3 IIS reg keys, so I suppose I could muck with that script if there is nothing else. rrd data and graphing

Hello All, Can someone give me some pointers on developing my own rrd scripts and graphing. I've read Hobbit Help pages, looks fairly straight forward. I can write the script, but what output should the data be in? I'm going to write a couple scripts, can someone give me how the data should look, and perhaps how the hobbitgraph.cfg should look? [hobbit] OpenBSD 4.0 hobbit client fails to connect

I'm having an issue where one of my hobbit clients refuses to connect back to the hobbit server. It feels like I'm missing something stupid, like a typo in the BBDISP setting or something, but I can't seem to find it. The error message I'm seeing in the hobbitclient.log file is: 2006-12-14 10:17:42 connect to bbd failed - No such file or directory 2006-12-14 10:17:42 Whoops ! bb failed to send message - Connection failed I've seen posts about this error showing up in the cgierror log on the hobbit server, but not for the hobbit client. I can manually telnet to the hobbit server over 1984 (including as the Hobbit user), so it's not a networking issue. This was working before, but it hasn't since I upgraded from OpenBSD 3.8 to 4.0. Any suggestions, even just so I can see a more detailed error message?

group-except in bb-hosts

Hi, I have about 50 (long named) tests which I must exclude in a group in bb-hosts. I found in the man pages "group-except COLUMN1|COLUMN2|COLUMN3...". Is there a limit for the length of this line? Hobbit HTTP test RED - works with BB

I'm migrating from BB to Hobbit. I'm using the same bb-hosts file on both. All is working well except for the HTTP test on two of my web servers (Apache/WebSphere on iSeries.) I saw a similar thread but it didn't help my problem. Excerpts from the Apache logs are below. It appears that Hobbit does a HTTP/1.1 GET while BB does a HTTP/1.0 GET. I'm guessing it has to do with the Request-URI / absoluteURI but could not figure out how to resolve it (I tried reading through the 160 pages of the HTTP/1.1 RFC.) Is there a way to make this work or use HTTP/1.0 for the HTTP test? Hi Henrik, I've tried to get pagesets working and I am having issues getting the servers to show up in the subpage or group section of the page I created. I can only get a server to show up by using OS:*. Is there anything I am missing? I am running bbgen 4.1.2 and I also tried it on a server running bbgen 4.2 with the same results. availability report

Hi, I've added new services in bb-services. My problem is, that these services and others are not correct shown in an "availability report"!! They are always been shown as 100% ok! When I create an "event log report" or have a look in the history of these services I see that there are really entries which shows me problems of these services. Can you help me?
