how to see graphs for last week/month for perticular test ?snapshot report

hi, i have 2 problems.. 1)i want to see last month cpu utilization graph for the perticular host,how can i see that? 2)when i want to see snapshot report for say date 2dec09 7:30am,front pages(bb-html etc) shows time stamp of 2dec09 7:0am,but when i click to see status of perticular test of perticular host,it shows me status of 29oct09 12:40pm.how to overcome it? -- Pankaj V. AIX df command problem

I am having a problem similar to one recently posted, but this is on an AIX host and is caused (I think) by a problem in the way xymon does df on AIX. The xymon version is 4.2.3 and the AIX OS version is 3.5 (I think, I'm a Solaris Admin). Anyway, I can find no way to force the df on AIX to use POSIX formatting AND to report only local file systems. Even if I could, I don't think I can override what xymon uses for df since the comments in the hobbitclient.cfg file say that the envariable definition is only there for compatibility and it is not used. The problem is that an NFS mount file system line in the df output is being parsed wrong and the number in the usage column is being used for the percent used (Available) so that is a huge number. Not only that, again similar to the previous problem, the file system name is being picked up as the contents of the last 3 fields in the output line, i.e. it is not /mnt/tsmupdates (which is what it should be) but "3020485 50% /tsm/updates", which, of course, prevents me from effectively ignoring that file system. I've tried using DISK %.*/mnt/.* IGNORE and that doesn't work. Does anyone have any suggestions? We have a big red page where we shouldn't have. IPv6 Support?

Has anyone looked at supporting IPv6 at this stage? IANA only has a little more than 150million addresses left that they can assign, and then the address pool is exhausted. Some are targeting March 2011 as the end date of IPv4 availability. Alternate view for Management

Our support staff likes having our monitoring system setup & organized by logical category/type. However, management is more interested in a view that is organized by business impact. For example: IT Top Level View- Hosted Services Corporate Connectivity Corporate Servers Corporate Desktops Remote Laptops Facility Connectivity Facility Desktops Management Top Level View- Email (Subpage containing all dependent hosts/services) HRMS (same as above) Sales CRM i.e. a listing for each "service" provided - possibly even maintained below subpages for each business unit Management wants availability and impact by the specific service and business unit impacted (10,000 foot view showing all dependencies), while IT is interested in the detail of the cogs/gears that make it all work. Do I just create a second listing for all of the hosts on a separate page structure? Would this generate twice as many network tests for the hosts that are listed duplicate times? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Firstly can I say it is great that Henrik is back and xymon seems to be moving forward again. Can I ask why the beta release is 4.3.0-beta3? What happened to the 4.4.0-1 version I downloaded in March and have been running with since then? What are the major differences/developments since then? Brief red alarms

We recently had a major change in our network's design. The entire topology had the change, including IP addresses of servers and the "routes" through switches between things. Ever since then, Xymon is reporting very brief (10-20 seconds) outages of one server or another every 30-60 minutes. I tried this suggestion: http://xymon.sourceforge.net/docs/known-issues.html#netfail No luck. A few minutes later, the server Xymon is running on allegedly failed the "conn" test for about 1 second. Any other ideas? If you want to see the symptoms, look at my Xymon instance at http://cns.cairodurham.org/hobbit/bb2.html. This will show the brief outages that I'm talking about. Removal of ghost clients

I have tried to search on the xymon archives page for a solution but the search is not work. Is there a way to get rid of ghost clients in hobbit. I have treid the drop command but it still stays on the hobbitd page. Thanks
