Hi All Has anyone used bb-disk_by_fs.sh with BB client? I am trying to find out how it will work with HOBBIT? There are few things I am concern about. 1. How will I manage alerts per partition which this script offers? 2. How will the graph work? Thanks for any feedbacks. rrd graphs for bb-xsnmp.pl script

I had a lot of graphs for several routers, ups, etc but they seem to be rather hosed. It looks like the data that was transferred is graphed well but no new data is going in correctly. It seems that any script sending data in a status message is not working. I suspect due to the formatting. One example is bb-xsnmp.pl script. I am using against routers, switches and apc ups. Using an APC ups as an example I get this in the web page: Tue Apr 5 09:23:03 2005 green UPS Temperature: 37? C bb-xsnmp.pl Version: 1.78 but in hobbit/data/rrd/apc1.tigr.org I have: tcp.conn.rrd tcp.telnet.rrd temperature.UPS_Temperature:_37&deg_C.rrd temperature.UPS_Temperature:_38&deg_C.rrd and the graph on the temperature page has no data but two entries at the bottom for UPS_Temperature:_37&deg_C and UPS_Temperature:_38&deg_C This problem is much worse on my switches and routers which have a different line for each sensor and every temperature ever reported.

OpenBSD compile issue

Hi Group. Just downloaded 4.0.4 and tried to compile on OpenBSD 3.7 and got this at the bottom of the gmake UMBER=1984 -I. -I/home/lee/Hobbit/hobbit-4.0.4/include -o bbdigest - Wl,--rpath=/usr/local/lib -Wl,--rpath=/usr/local/lib bbdigest.o ../ lib/libbbgen.a ld: invalid command option `--rpath=/usr/local/lib' collect2: ld returned 1 exit status gmake[1]: *** [bbdigest] Error 1 gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/home/lee/Hobbit/hobbit-4.0.4/common' gmake: *** [common-build] Error 2 $ Any ideas? Hi All I noticed if the tags are not added in bb-hosts file the info page does not show in the othertags field. May be something that can be added in next version. I ususally do not put the tags and have hobbit dynamically created colums for every service status I push using the client. Hi All On hobbit-enadis.sh page when I click on a host nothing shows up in Tests column. history 10 month summary problem

Hi friends, Some of my http tests are with the 10 month summary showing more than 100% for green, they are showing 455 % , 855,91% , 1214% and etc , possible a bug? I' ve upgrade from bb/bbgen but not all of the http tests are with this problem I'm investigating but everything seems to be ok, any help? thanks in advance, Mario.

I have email macros configured thusly: $pg-rich=%rsmrcina at wi.rr.com $pg-tom=%(2628531588 at vtext.com|tbrockman at ourdomain.com) In other words, Rich can be reached at a single email address, Tom with two addresses. The notification is set up like this: HOST=%(vse*|vm*) DURATION>5m MAIL $pg-tom MAIL $pg-rich So if any test on a host beginning with vse or vm fails, both Tom and Rich will get a page after 5 minutes. Hi All I just upgraded my hobbitd from 4.0.1 to 4.0.4 and I am noticing it ignores the --alertcolors=red and alerting for 'yellow' as well. Here is the [bbpage] section I have [bbpage] ENVFILE /export/home/hobbit/server/etc/hobbitserver.cfg NEEDS hobbitd CMD hobbitd_channel --channel=page --log=$BBSERVERLOGS/page.log hobbitd_alert --alertcolors=red --repeat=10 I think there was a note about that but I can't find it. Do I need to define colors in the hobbitserver.cfg file for it to alert only for 'red'? Differences with bb/bbgen

Hello, I recently migrated from bb with bbgen to Hobbit 4.02, but i found some differences between bb/bbgen and Hobbit. I don't know if this is by design or something has broken in the meantime. I've searched the archives, but i couldn't find anything in there. The things i've found are all located in the bb-hosts files : - The nodisp tag doesn't seem to work anymore. I use this to show some hosts on a differen pageset, but not on the main interface. - The dialup tag (as a tag behind an entry, not as a separate entry) also doesn't work as i expected. With the bb/bbgen combination the cpu, disk, svcs and msgs tests on hosts with the dialup tag didn't go purple if fping was clear, but now it does. I worked around this with the NOPROPPURPLE tag, but i would rather see them also become clear. I also found one small copy-paste error in the man-page of hobbit-alerts.cfg (and also the web-version) : EXSERVICE=targetstring Rule excluding an alert by matching the hostname. hostname should ofcourse be service. I'm also missing a netstat entry for Darwin (for creating the graphs). Perhaps this can be added too ? Ofcourse i can supply the output of this test on Darwin. Last but not least : Cudos to Henrik for creating such a wonderful successor to BB. Greeting, Sven De Vilder
