I downloaded the source rpm and installed it. The spec file for building the RPMs contains this: %if %{without trunk} %if 0%{?rhel} <= 7 Requires: ntp %endif %endif So, yeah, it builds into the binary RPMs the requirement to pull in ntp. I'm not sure if that can be made into a conditional, to require ntp OR chrony. Both servers where running dovecot. I wrote an extension in perl using IO::Socket::SSL (and the same local openssl) to monitor the server offerng tls 1.3 and all is fine with it. For some strange reason, I can monitor a https web servers (running nginx or apache) offering TLS 1.3 without this issue but not imaps/pop3s. Xymon 4.3.30 Released

Xymon 4.3.30 has been released and is now available for download. 4.3.30 is mostly a bug-fix release, quashing issues stemming from the security fixes in 4.3.29, including improperly-tight restrictions on allowed characters in hostname for browsing along with several other parsing errors. Thanks in particular to Tom Schmidt for his assistance in tracking these down. Xymon should also now be more easily buildable on older GCC versions without the diagnostics pragma available. Xymon 4.3.30 is available from the Xymon SourceForge page at https://sourceforge.net/projects/xymon/ As always, thank you to all who have contributed code, ideas, and features to the project! Where are xymonproxy errors?!

Hi there, So, I'm trying to run xymonproxy as a standalone daemon, to facilitate the broadcast of status messages to multiple xymon servers with a single local machine listener. And that is working very well, I must say. But.. if one of the xymon servers is unreachable.. (I'm testing with an iptables DROP on the server side) I don't see any errors at all from xymonproxy. Even running it in foreground in the shell, nada. I've looked at the code on GitHub, and I do see some errprintf calls I would expect would result in some output in this type of situation. Am I missing something? Appreciate any pointers, thanks in advance. Rodrigo

Hi, I've been looking into customizing the email alerts that get sent from our xymon server.? I've played with the SMS option and like the minimal content of the body of the email, but I still want a customized Subject and I want the alert URL included in the email body.? I assume the SCRIPT option will accomplish this.? Does anyone have a simple script that they can share? Thanks. Kris Springer

Is it possible to recreate rrd from hostdata?

Hi In one of my Xymon systems the rrd status and rrd data processes was consuming 100% cpu and was crashing/restarting in a loop due to misconfiguration. This resulted in a gap in my rrd files and missing data when running perfdata.cgi report. Is there an easy way to run rrd manually on hostdata to fill out the gaps in the rrd files? REN? Still purple

I have updated the STATUSLIFETIME=540 and still getting purple for conn test. Then I updated the LIFE status+8h .. for green and still getting purpple. Im just trying to do a simple conn every 8hours to a few servers and see green or red.
