The latest snapshot (well, yesterday's) shows clear on the ports (for the hobbit server). I didn't have this on the latest alfa (alpha). Frank M. purple clients

Hi, I have upgraded yesterday (30 May) to the latest hobbit-snapshot. My purple clients (those which are reboot daily) stay purple. You have got div. logs as attachements. Hi, This problem has been outstanding for quite a while now on AIX. When running the pre-generated reports, bbgen coredumps. variable for test script in bb-hosts?

I have a small challenge at hand.. I have a test that involves checking information about a host on some certain web source, however, depending on the host the "base" URL of the source is different. So I'm podinger if it is possible to this in bb-hosts, kind of like how the http test works with cont=bla:http://blabla;bla I picture something like mytest;key=val and then being able to pick up ${key} with value "val" from the test script. Henrik, Thanks for that, I looked at the web version of the man page which hasn't been updated and in the hobbit-clients.cfg which doesn't mention it either. I see this has changed for file min/max size reporting but unlike the documentation doesn't seem to default to KB but to bytes now!! Our ops people want: "Audible Alarm notification of all Business Critical Servers that are DOWN for mornitoring" . I have not talked to them yet but am assuming they mean not pingable. Hi Henrik, That is great, I can now look to rolling hobbit into production - I'll wait for the pukka 4.2 release though. What is the syntax for using the new feature - I couldn't find it documented? recovered messages/SMS missing

Hi, We use the RECOVERED keyword for all recipients defined in hobbit-alerts.cfg. We noticed a problem for hosts where alerting for a given service is excluded during a certain time. When a problem occurs on the service -out of the exclusion time-, the yellow/red alarms get sent. When the problem is resolved though, there is no recovered confirmation message/SMS. This issue is not related to the amount of time the service was down.
