Client build fails on SCO_SV (i386)

Hi, at my company we have some old or unusual platforms, such as SCO_SV or Sinix. Here I'm trying to build the hobbit client out of 4.2-beta (snapshot 2006-07-04) on this kind of environment : SCO_SV 3.2 5.0.5 i386 GNU Make version 3.75, by Richard Stallman and Roland McGrath. GCC 2.95.1 and the native cc. The configure runs well, but when building with gcc I get : gcc -g -O -D_REENTRANT -Dgeneric -I. -I/usr2/local/hobbit/cvf/include -DCLIENTONLY=1 -I. -I../include -c errormsg.c -o errormsg.o errormsg.c: In function `redirect_cgilog': errormsg.c:159: `PATH_MAX' undeclared (first use in this function) errormsg.c:159: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once errormsg.c:159: for each function it appears in.) gmake[1]: *** [errormsg.o] Error 1 gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/usr2/local/hobbit/cvf/lib' gmake: *** [lib-client] Error 2 and when building with cc I get : "/usr2/local/hobbit/cvf/include/../lib/misc.h", line 39: error: invalid type combination If I change the type from "long long" to "long", it then builds up to the exact same point as gcc. [hobbit] Windows client, send to only 1 Hobbit server?

Does the windows client only support sending to 1 client? Or do I just need to edit the config some how? Here is what my UNIX client settings look like: BBDISP="0.0.0.0" # IP address of the Hobbit server BBDISPLAYS="hobbit1 hobbit2" # IP of multiple Hobbit servers. BBDISP must be "0.0.0.0". -- David

Hobbit help?

I have tried integrating MRTG graphs into Hobbit with little success. I have been able to integrate MRTG queries into Hobbit; they are working from hobbitlaunch.cfg and rrds are being written to the appropriate directories under /home/hobbit/data/rrd, but the graphs do not appear on the trend page. I have not been able to find any documentation on the exact way to correct this problem. The MRTG rrd files are under the rrd directory/devicename. The tcp.conn.rrd file exists in the same directory and is displayed on the web page. The MRTG filenames are: mrtg.devicename.fa0.rrd. Please help. Greg Hatos

BAD tag question

Greetings, We have a system that has a red CPU alarm every 10 minutes or so for a duration of about 5-6 minutes. Would it be possible to use the BAD tag within the BB hosts file to have the status propagate to bb2 only if it has been red for 10-15 minutes? I thought that I read a list message relating to this at some point, but I've been unable to locate anything. When you shutdown hobbit, should the shared memory and semaphores be released? They do not appear to be released on my Hobbit server running Fedora Core 5. ~David

Henrik, In the other logfiles I have nothing. Hobbitlaunch.log is the only one getting any data. Hobbit user is owner of both /var/log/hobbit and everything under /usr/local/hobbit/. Ah cheers, I looked under "Configuring Alerts" and didn't see anything about it there, only seemed to apply to hosts. Ill have a play with my regular expressions.
