Hi folks, I am running XYmon 4.3.12 (self compiled) on a RHEL 6.3 and have a question about the behaviour of sending "RECOVERED" messages. I've been forced to send SNMP traps of alerts to a Patrol console and of course they also want to have "RECOVERED" messages to close these alerts automatically. But now I've seen in my logs that if someone disables a test that has an alert another alert trap is being sent out instead of a "RECOVERED" trap. I.e. I have a server that has an alert in msgs an red alert is sent to Patrol and the responsible admin is called. He sets the state of msgs to blue for a certain time and another red alert is sent to Patrol instead of a green trap saying everything back to normal. Is this an expected behaviour? I thought even blue would trigger a recovery message since I have the following lines in my xymonserver.cfg: ALERTCOLORS="red,yellow,purple" # Colors that may trigger an alert message OKCOLORS="green,blue,clear" # Colors that may trigger a recovery message Any help would be appreciated. Certificate checks during ldaps test?

It appears that xymon 4.3.12 reports the status of server certificates (as test 'sslcert') encountered while performing the tests: ftps smtps impas https but not while performing the test: ldaps Am I missing something in my configuration which will enable this? Under Big Brother, I've been using a home-brew ext script to watch for expiring certificates. I was hoping to be able to retire this script as I move to xymon. Will I need to keep it just to watch my ldaps servers? -- Do things because you should, not just because you can. ESXi disk status

My Xymon installation is on an AWS instance of Ubuntu. I have the ESXi add-on installed (http://xymonesxi.sourceforge.net) and it's reporting data from my VMware server. But, it's not reporting very much data. It's only reporting conn, http, info, sslcert, trends and vmware. Sdd and snapshot don't have any data in them, and disk doesn't show up at all. Is there something I need to be configuring to get these stats? I installed the add-on per the included instructions without any trouble.

Dell Storage Array monitoring?

So I've searched around and not come up with anything. Is anyone using SMcli to get the status of a Dell storage array? Ours is an MD 3200i. Netapp Monitoring

I'm running it on the Xymon server, but I was running it off the command line, so my issues were variables that weren't exported. Now that I'm actually executing it through Xymon there's not problem with getting it running. The only thing that's curious is my cluster test appears yellow despite there not appearing to be an issue, at least to my eyes. Here's the results I'm getting. [yellow] Controller Failover enabled, FILER is up. current time: 04Sep2013 11:12:40 UP 52+20:28:09, partner 'OTHERFILER', cluster monitor enabled VIA Interconnect is up (link up), takeover capability on-line partner update TAKEOVER_ENABLED (04Sep2013 11:12:39) I saw a message from '08 that was asking the same question, but there didn't appear to be a response to it. Install dnsreg on xymon server

Hello, We would like to install the dnsreg script on my xymon server, not on client side, should be from server side, somebody can help me?, i have the script and i move to /home/xymon/server/ext, then where i need to fill with this lines?: [dnsreg] ENVFILE $XYMONHOME/etc/xymonserver.cfg CMD $XYMONCLIENTHOME/ext/dnsreg.sh LOGFILE $XYMONCLIENTLOGS/dnsreg.log INTERVAL 5m By other side, this lines is correct?
