EXTIME still valid ?

Is the EXTIME option still valid in the alerts.cfg I am having problems testing the following EXTIME=1:1140:1240 Should be exclude Monday's 11:40 to 12:40. Will test EXTIME=M:1140:1240 But if it's M for Monday what would Sunday be ? Thanks

MAGMA XYMon Web GUI Admin Now Available!

Henrik and Fellow Xymoners, Just for you I have pushed off any real work for today just to get you all a first release of MAGMA the XYMon Web GUI Admin. MAGMA is an add-on web GUI for managing Host, Groups and Alarms on a XYmon 4.3 or newer system. You can find MAGMA at http://www.squidworks.net/magma/ There you will find the description, screen shots and features of MAGMA along with the link to download the source package. It requires MySQL and PHP5 and is very simple to install. All supporting information is included in the tarball. How does it work? --------------------------- It stores all alarm and host/group configs in the SQL database and rewrites the Host.cfg, Analysis.cfg and Alarms.cfg files causing the XYmon system to update its tests and pages based on the changes in these files. It will overwrite the files each time a host is added or edited making the process of updating automatic. To get the full benefit of MAGMA you should place all hosts in "central" mode, although this is not required, without it your management is somewhat restrictive (external test management only). Xymon 4.3.19 Released

Hello, Xymon 4.3.19 has been released to SF and should be available on a mirror near you! It can be downloaded from https://sourceforge.net/projects/xymon/ 4.3.19 contains a number of bug fixes and improvements, along with a several new features. - a report on all recent acknowledgements is now available - a specific time range can now be excluded for analysis or alerting purposes with the EXTIME= directive - additional filters are available with the "xymondboard" command, including searching the full body text of a status report - the last position read in a log file is now indicated on the 'msgs' status report - a new 'deltacount' option for counting recent matching lines in a log file - improved Windows PowerShell client support For a full list of changes, see the Changes file inside the tarball. mounted NFS volumes not included in disk utilization graphs

On several systems with NFS mounts, the mounted volumes are not included in the disk utilization graphs. The volumes are visible in the client data. How does one get them included in the graphs?

Run Single Test

I'm currently running the DNSREG script. I'm querying over 250 domains and toward the end, the whois server blocks me so all of the domains after that point report red. I'm trying to figure out a way to fix that. It's set to run every 24 hours. 1) Is there a way to set it to check 50 domains every four hours or so instead of running all of them at midnight. 2) Does Xymon have a way to know when it queried the host last and then will wait, on that single host, 24 hours or will it just do all of them again after 24 hours? I did try putting a pause in the script and it wouldn't run at all after that. 3) When one does fail, I would like to run it later (when the registrar block has expired) for the 10 or so hosts that failed. I tried using bbcmd to kick off the script for just that host and just that test but nothing happened. (bbcmd bbtest-net domain.org.dnsreg) 4) I'm sure I can figure this out but if anyone knows off the top of their head: if the expires line returns blank (because no date could be found), how would I append the script to return a clear status instead of red? remove or drop data with incorrect columns, with bad characters or perhaps linefeed as part of name

I have some bash scripts that do testing, and apparently because it is the last parameter read from a data file ( CSV) , it adds a linefeed or something. In the Hist and histlogs it shows up as a ? at the end of the name. How do I drop these, since they are all purple and alerting, after I fixed the issue. I really would like to keep all the other data, since it does have historical value( about 40 tests ) Thanks !

Hi all I've been asked to report on the usage of some devices (Windows 7 tablet computers). I have not installed any agents but I've had them in the hosts.cfg file for a couple of months. All I need is to report on which devices have a 'conn' max of 0ms over 7, 14 and 28 days. Any ideas how I can get this info in text format? Thanks CC
