Good news. Can you tell us all how you solved it? Was it in the file I mentioned, or did you edit the entry using the CGI via web browser? build server on Solaris 11 (SPARC) with LDAP support?

I've never gotten this to work, either using the LDAP libs and include files that come with the system, or those from openCSW. Has anyone ever done this successfully, and if so, how?

Hi Jason, There were some SSL certificate parsing fixes in 4.3.25, and a few alterations in 4.3.22 to bring in additional certificate details, but nothing that should have broken all SSL testing, nor any real changes in the build process that I recall. Are the tests reporting 'red' now, or simply 'purple' (not reporting at all)? Can you provide the system you're building on, and the config output? If it's built properly, xymonnet should indicate the OpenSSL version it's using near the top of its own test results. e.g.: xymonnet version 4.3.26 SSL library : OpenSSL 1.0.1e 11 Feb 2013 LDAP library: OpenLDAP 20440 -jc

Using group tags on main Xymon page

I'm trying to use a group field to show a list of pages instead of hosts. Is there a method to do this? I've been reading the man pages but not seeing it thus far after testing. Any thoughts? -- Josh

SSL checks no longer working on 4.3.26?

Hi All, I just did an upgrade from 4.3.21 to 4.3.26 and all of a sudden all of my SSL checks stopped working even though I configured the Makefile to use SSL. Is there a change that I'm unaware of that I need to make? I have reverted back to 4.3.21 for now. Creating Java Monitor for Xymon

Hello, I have created a Java Program that will pull a date from a stored procedure in a SQL Server, which then is compared to the current date, and will alarm red if it is past the threshold. Thus far, I have developed the code independent of Xymon, but now plan on implementing it since it is functioning properly. Below is my java code. Instead of printing out "Uh oh" if the date is older than 2 hours, I would like to make it alarm on the servers page. I don't know where to begin from here, and any suggestions or pointers in the right direction would be great. Additionally, any examples of using Java as a monitor in Xymon would be very beneficial. Hello, I'm trying to setup a test to check that my systems are running ssh2 but NOT ssh1. Ideally I just want a single column, ssh, that reports ssh2 and only ssh2 is running. I thought I'd have to use a combo test but all of the examples I see appear to be for a specific system rather than a column test for all of my monitored systems. I was trying things like: (!ssh1 && ssh2) or sshtest = (( ssh1 != 1) && (ssh2 == 1)) But all I got for my trouble was red ssh1 indicators. Apparently even when ssh1 is disabled ssh returns a status line like: Protocol major versions differ: 1 vs. 2 which xymon reads as a positive result rather than a negative. I then tried matching the status message by modifying the test in protocols.cfg but, since I have to also match positive results, that didn't work either. I'm sure I used to do this with Big Brother but at that time I'm pretty sure ssh1 just failed instead of returning a status so I could test for !ssh1. Walter R.
