Hi, I have these two tests in my hosts.cfg page development development xx.202.xxx.xxx JIRA #https://xx.202.xxx.xxx:8443/login.jsp NOCOLUMNS:info,trends,conn xx.202.xxx.xxx Stash #https://xx.202.xxx.xxx:8444 NOCOLUMNS:info,trends,conn So, for grins, I wanted to make sure I'll get alerted so I changed the port to some port not being used, like below: xx.202.xxx.xxx JIRA #https://xx.202.xxx.xxx:4443/login.jsp NOCOLUMNS:info,trends,conn xx.202.xxx.xxx Stash #https://xx.202.xxx.xxx:4444 NOCOLUMNS:info,trends,conn What is happening is that in the nongreen.html status window, the side bar is not turning red but staying green but the little tiny faces went from green to white and I did not get alerted. Below is what is in my alerts.cfg HOST=JIRA SERVICE=http MAIL rod.xxx at xxx.com COLOR=yellow REPEAT=60m DURATION>180m RECOVERED MAIL rod.xxx at xxx.com COLOR=red REPEAT=60m RECOVERED HOST=Stash SERVICE=http MAIL rod.xxx at xxx.com COLOR=yellow REPEAT=60m DURATION>180m RECOVERED MAIL rod.xxx at xxx.com COLOR=red REPEAT=60m RECOVERED Do you know why I'm not getting alerted and xymon display is not displaying red on the side bar?

Hi, I got some warnings in jmxstat report: ----------------------------------------------------------- Warnings test-app-tomcat could not query attribute activeSessions from mbean Catalina:type=Manager,path=/,host=localhost test-app-tomcat could not query attribute sessionCounter from mbean Catalina:type=Manager,path=/,host=localhost . . jmxstat version 0.1.8 column jmxstat tested in 4.13 seconds ----------------------------------------------------------- Any hint how can I debug and fix this issue please? I tried to run jmxstat in terminal as follows: java -DXYMON=/bin/echo -DXYMONHOME=/usr/lib/xymon/client -DXYMSRV=1.2.3.4 -jar /usr/lib/xymon/client/ext/jmxsh-R5.jar /usr/lib/xymon/client/ext/jmxstat.tcl but I got no warnings from it. iostat does not work

No matter what I do I cannot get iostat to report on Hobbit (RHEL clients) I have also followed the documentation and added TRENDS as directed which also makes no difference. According to the man page for XYMONSERVER.CFG, you can have xymongen add the jmxstat graph to the jmxstat status page (and not just the trends page) by updating TEST2RRD or GRAPHS_jmxstat. I think the GRAPHS_columnname definition is a new feature, so it might not be supported on older releases of Xymon. Also, I've never used it. Xymon stops sending alert.

sorry - I have been sending by questions to a wrong email distro. Hello, Please what could be the reason Xymon stops sending alerts, even when nothing has changed from the configurations. After installing Xymon Client on Widows 2008 server, the client didn't report to Xymon dashboard. Also, our Oracle servers reported that Xymon is not sending alerts for the past two weeks. I have looked and the notifications.log to confirm. Please I would appreciate if you can give me an idea of what else I need to look. Hi, Im having some issues with hobbitdboard/xymondboard and I have no idea what is causing the issue. Xymon is up and running and doing it's thing just fine, however I need to be able to use the xymondboard message. This was working just fine, of course an update to the server has broken it. Hi Shannon This is perfectly normal - those tests do not have their own columns. Netstat data is shown in the ports column. I believe the ifstat data is used for the graphs in the trends column. devmon goes purple

Hi, it seems, that this very old problem occurs again. I wrote a mail to devmon-support, but didn't get an answer. We are using Xymon 4.3.27-1.el6.terabithia on Scientific Linux 6.7. Everything was running fine until the latest kernel update to kernel-2.6.32-642.el6.x86_64. After that, devmon stops working from time to time. The processes still are running but all devmon tests go purple until I restart devmon. There's no entry in the devmon logfile. Does anyone else have the problem? Regards, Dirk

How do I run my script under xymoncmd? I've tried both just using the command "xymoncmd /script" as well writing out the path to xymoncmd and pulling it directly from there, and neither way seems to be running my script in a xymon environment?
