Good day I have a windows server 2016 that I use winpsclient to collect the server matrix and send to xymon Problem is the server has 24 cpu's allocated and on xymon it reports only 12 cores if you open the cpu page for the monitored host Looks like this is the part in the xymonclient.ps1 script that collects the cpu count: WriteLog "XymonCollectInfo: CPU info (WMI)" $script:cpuinfo = @(Get-WmiObject -Class Win32_Processor) #$script:totalload = 0 $script:numcpus = $cpuinfo.Count $script:numcores = 0 $script:numvcpus = 0 foreach ($cpu in $cpuinfo) { #$script:totalload += $cpu.LoadPercentage $script:numcores += $cpu.NumberOfCores $script:numvcpus += $cpu.NumberOfLogicalProcessors } #$script:totalload /= $numcpus WriteLog "Found $($script:numcpus) CPUs, total of $($script:numcores) cores" How do I modify the script to count the correct number of processors? makedeb.sh and xymon-client initscripts (and probably makerpm as well)

Hi there! I've set up a build pipeline to be able to build up-to-date Xymon packages for DEB- and RPM-based systems instantly. Everything is working fine so far, but the init scripts for the xymon-client aren't added to the DEB-packages (and probably also to the RPM-packages; only tried deb so far). It seems, that the deb package build is quite the mess, if I may say so ;-). It builds the server and client packages at the same time but the dh-scripts only recognize the server build (package name 'xymon') so dh_installinit -p'xymon-client' isn't working at all. Maybe the package maintainers can share their script environments to the main project? Thanks! Ports graph not showing

Hi guys, Quick question... Do I need to do anything special to have ports graphed? In analysis.cfg I have the following config statement: HOST=host.example.com PROC nginx PROC php-fpm PORT "LOCAL=%([.:]80)$" state=LISTEN TEXT=nginx PORT "LOCAL=%([.:]443)$" state=LISTEN TEXT=nginxssl PORT "LOCAL=%[.:](80|443)" STATE=ESTABLISHED MIN=0 TEXT=http-sessions TRACK=http-sessions On the ports page for the host it shows the following at the top of the page, but no graph is being displayed at the bottom of the page. Tue Apr 7 14:30:32 UTC 2020 - Ports ok green nginx (found 2, req. 1 or more) green nginxssl (found 2, req. 1 or more) green http-sessions (found 11, req. none) If I look at the HTML for the page, I can see that there are references to the graph, but it's not being displayed. If I go into /var/lib/xymon/rrd/host.example.com I can't see any rrd files for ports? Any suggestions on what configuration to look at next? Thanks Steve

XYMon using incorrect certificate for SSL

I have a server which has both NGinX and Apache2 serving multiple sites. I have "main" domain freesoftwareservers.com and a wildcard cert which is set "globally" with NGinX. Eg: In my freesoftwareservers.conf ##GLOBAL SSL ssl_certificate /etc/ssl/personal/fsws/fsws.crt; ssl_certificate_key /etc/ssl/personal/fsws/fsws.key; server { } But I have another domain using LetsEncrypt and its setup like so (note, all my apache sites are served via nginx redirect to apache): server { listen 443 ssl; server_name domain.tld; ssl on; ssl_certificate /etc/letsencrypt/live/ domain.tld /cert.pem; ssl_certificate_key /etc/letsencrypt/live/ domain.tld /privkey.pem; } But xymon is only using my wildcard cert for both domains. Is there something setup incorrectly in my setup or a fix for XYMon I can use? Using latest w/ Ubuntu so 4.28. Thanks!

Setting up xymon webpage with apache

Hello, I am trying to install xymon on a Red Hat Entrerprise Linux 7 system and everything seemed to be going fine until integrating it with apache. I have tried to debug the issues and it looks like there the xymon.html file doesn't have sufficient permissions for apache to execute it, but when I try to change the permissions and restart xymon the permissions are automatically restored to the default. I was wondering if you could give me any assistance with this? I am not very familiar with apache, so I have only come to this conclusion from reading the error log, it could be something else that I am missing but I did as the instructions asked and appended the xymon-apache.conf file to the end of my httpd.conf file. Hello, 1. How can I configure a username and password for the administrative section of xymon. Eg. Having a username and password required to enable/disable alerts? 2. Currently only clientlog, conn,info and trends are showing as monitored for my linux clients. How can I have cpu,memory and disk show in the columns? Hello, After I installed the client, I am having issues starting the xymon service, I get the errors below. Can you assist on this? Change a default in analysis.cfg

Two questions. At the top of analysis.cfg I have the lines: PROC postfix/master PROC automount Until recently, those defaults covered all the linux machines. However, we recently added a couple of Oracle ODA boxes which do not use postfix but sendmail. Is there some way I can turn off the above defaults on a particular server? Also, the ODA boxes are notorious for running about a zillion instances of oracle making the proc list very long. I have noticed it is frequently truncated. Can the maximum size be increased?. -- Stephen
