Josh, I am building new servers. I have to get the old Sun hardware and OS out. We have a bunch of HP dl360?s.
I am running into a bunch of issues with Linux9 so might have to roll back. Or get a bigger hammer to get it all going.

Is this a new installation? Or did something change?

I am finding info about MPM prefork. All those made no change in this issue. I have compared to my other servers. Those are solaris platforms and Server version: Apache/2.4.46 (Unix)
My apache runs as user apache and group xmon. Xymon also runs as group xmon. Server version: Apache/2.4.51 (Oracle Linux Server)
I am close I smell it.
Thanks for your time.

Anyone have xymon running on Linux 9? I have started to build on Oracle Linux 9. Having issues with getting retool. It complains about the libs. I do not find a rrdtool-devle for it.

I checked my notes and these are the extra packages I have to install on a basic
OL8 installation.
Build server:
? sudo yum install -y gcc gcc-c++ pcre-devel libtirpc-devel fping openssl-devel
rrdtool-devel c-ares-devel httpd-devel mod_ssl
Build client:
? sudo yum install -y gcc gcc-c++ pcre-devel libtirpc-devel
These are the repos that must be enabled for the above.
? ol8_baseos_latest
? ol8_appstream
? ol8_developer_EPEL
? ol8_codeready_builder
As I said, I have not spun up an OL9 box yet so YMMV.

Hello, I'm using the SSL cert column to check the status of the SSL
certificates. I updated one SSL cert successfully but it is still showing
the old certificate on xymon. Does xymon cache? And how do I resolve
this issue? Thank you in advance.
Hi,
the Xymon mailing list has been running for more than 15 years. It
started when the project was separated from the original Big Brother
origins, and has been running since then.
I stopped doing any serious development of Xymon more than 5 years ago,
and I haven't really been following the list since then. But I can see
that the number of mails per month on the list has gradually decreased
over the years.
The list is currently running on a Debian 10 server with the GNU Mailman
v2 software. This version of Mailman is going out of support, and an
upgrade to version 3 is necessary once support for Debian 10 ends. This
appears to be rather complicated - it is not automatic, but there are
some scripts - and since the mailing list is co-located with my personal
(and family) email service, any mail malfunction is going to be pretty
annoying.
So moving the list to Mailman v3 is something that I will not do.
Therefore some other way of running the mailing list must be found - or
it will shut down sometime in the beginning of 2024. In other words, I
need someone to provide hosting and care for the mailing list.
I will be happy to point the DNS record of xymon.com to another
mailserver. Please mail me directly if you want to discuss this - of
course, it is fine if you cc the Xymon list.
Regards,
Henrik
