Ping issue?

I have one particular host on my network that I can ping just fine from the command line, but hobbit cannot seem to get a ping response out of it. Any ideas? -- Stewart Larsen

Hey, I haven't seen this come up yet but I had a problem getting the graphs to show up under the view graphs script (adminscripts_view_graph.sh). In order to get it to work, I had to change the "$BBWEBHOSTURL/hobbit-cgi", as well as "/hobbit-cgi", with $BBSERVERCGIURL. This seems to be the more correct way to do this since is uses the info from the config file of hobbit. =G=

pcre matching problem

Hi, We have following rule in hobbit-clients.cfg: LOG /var/log/messages MATCH=%(?-i)Redundancy\slost|degraded|error|Error COLOR=red IGNORE=%(?-i)webmail.exe.*segfault\sat|register_security|asking\sfor\scache\sdata|Outstream\sdata\sxfer\serror|cdrom|pam_ldap:\serror\strying\sto\sbind\sas HOST=zeb1,zeb2 According to this, the line "Jan 29 21:05:52 zeb2 kernel: webmail.exe[30786]: segfault at 000000009980e286 rip 000000009980e286 rsp 00000000ffff8800 error 14" in /var/log/messages of host zeb2 should NOT raise a red alert (IGNORE) but it does :-( The pcre test shows correct matching: [bb at iris etc]$ pcretest PCRE version 4.5 01-December-2003 re> /(?-i)webmail.exe.*segfault\sat|register_security|asking\sfor\scache\sdata|Outstream\sdata\sxfer\serror|cdrom|pam_ldap:\serror\strying\sto\sbind\sas/ data> Jan 29 21:05:52 zeb2 kernel: webmail.exe[30786]: segfault at 000000009980e286 rip 000000009980e286 rsp 00000000ffff8800 error 14 0: webmail.exe[30786]: segfault at data> Does anybody see anything wrong? I have noticed that the client collects all of the data and then the server "tests" the condition. How would I go about writing a who script that would tell me when someone is logged in as root? Thanks Richard

Hi Henrik, Yesterday I upgraded my hobbit server to take advantage of the all-in-one corrections, plus the "split-ncv" feature (have a peek in your spambox to see my message about this :)). I then found a bug that did not show up on the test host, so I rolled back. Why would I all of a sudden be getting this on one of my hobbit clients? I can telnet to port 1984 from the client server as root and as the hobbit user. Im running 4.2.0 on both my server and my clients. Hi, I don't know if I should write about the daily snapshots. But today's snapshot is not updating any statuspages. The only statuspage I get is a non-updated current statuspage.
