[hobbit] BBNET replacement.

Hi, I just replaced a BBDISPLAY and BBNET server with a hobbit server. I don't know if you can set just a BBNET server in hobbit, but I don't think there will be any hint. As written in the migration guide (http://hobbitmon.sourceforge.net/docs/bb-to-hobbit.html) the migration from bb is quite easy. Just copy the log files instead of moving them, so you can switch back to bigbrother in case of trouble. Hobbit questions

Hi, I just migrated a server from bigbrother 1.9e btf to hobbit. 1st question : The bb server was stopped, but the bb client is still running. Do I have to install the hobbit client and stop the bb client on my server ? 2nd question : I modified the larrd/lib/LARRD/checks.pm to add a specific rrd check (to monitor a san array). The extension script is still running, as it is launched by the bb 1.9e client. How can I add the graph to hobbit ? 3rd question : Is there a specific hobbit deadcat-like site ? (I know I can still use bigbrother extensions, But perhaps hobbit can have its own site and extensions) Thanks Nicolas Figaro

beastat - How do you use it?

* The "bea-snmpstats.sh" script has been removed, and replaced with an enhanced tool "beastat". This collects statistics via SNMP from BEA Weblogic servers, and reports these via "data" messages to Hobbit. The data collected are run-time data for the JRockIT JVM and thread/memory utilization data from each Weblogic server instance. This looks like an interesting feature, at least for those of us running Weblogic. I can't seam to find any documentation on how to configure the tools or how to display the results. Any help? OpenBSD compile issue

Hi Group. [hobbit] Mrtg with Hobbit

I am using the even older method of bbmrtg.sh from deadcat.net, although I modified it a bit to use the routers-2.cgi script for graph generation as it produces better graphs IMO. It is also nice because it didn't require that I modify my mrtg cfg files. I would be happy to send along the bbmrtg.sh file that I am using. Mrtg with Hobbit

Hi, I have hobbit 4.02 installed and functional and am trying to integrate MRTG with it, I decided to use the "integrating MRTG data into Hobbit" option but the graphs being generated are showing no data. I have set the debug snpo and log options for mrtg and can see the data being gathered from the router and writen to the rrd file so that appears to be working ok. Any help offered would be appreciated. Hi All I noticed if the tags are not added in bb-hosts file the info page does not show in the othertags field. May be something that can be added in next version. I ususally do not put the tags and have hobbit dynamically created colums for every service status I push using the client. Hi All On hobbit-enadis.sh page when I click on a host nothing shows up in Tests column. history 10 month summary problem

Hi friends, Some of my http tests are with the 10 month summary showing more than 100% for green, they are showing 455 % , 855,91% , 1214% and etc , possible a bug? I' ve upgrade from bb/bbgen but not all of the http tests are with this problem I'm investigating but everything seems to be ok, any help? thanks in advance, Mario.

I have email macros configured thusly: $pg-rich=%rsmrcina at wi.rr.com $pg-tom=%(2628531588 at vtext.com|tbrockman at ourdomain.com) In other words, Rich can be reached at a single email address, Tom with two addresses. The notification is set up like this: HOST=%(vse*|vm*) DURATION>5m MAIL $pg-tom MAIL $pg-rich So if any test on a host beginning with vse or vm fails, both Tom and Rich will get a page after 5 minutes.
