Hi Is there any method within XYMON that one could send out a day end summary of what is reported on daily within XYMON? I use the alerts.cfg to issue email alerts however in this case if I have a summary report created is there mechanism in XYMON that would allow me to send that report out daily ? Thanks

PostgreSQL 8.4 Monitoring using hobbit-plugins

Hi everyone, I'm running Xymon 4.3.12 under GNU/Linux Debian Wheezy 7.4 Kernel 3.2.51-1 x86_64 GNU/Linux. I want to monitor the PostgreSQL database using hobbit -plugins , I installed the required dependency graph to query for PostgreSQL " libdbd -pg- perl" . Running the script ( from the client ) that is in the path "/usr/lib/hobbit/client/ext" I noticed that if you run queries fine, I noticed that within the script postgres say : You must also activate Postgresql statistics. See http://www.postgresql.org/docs/8.1/interactive/monitoring-locks.html for how to enable this. Specifically, the following lines must exist in your postgresql.conf: stats_start_collector = true stats_block_level = true But is that true for PostgreSQL 8.1 to 8.3 , I checked on the official website of PostgreSQL and I changed the way to get the graphics for the following : track_activities = on track_counts = on track_functions = all Now I modified "/etc/hobbit/clientlaunch.d/postgres.cfg" being : [ postgres ] # DISABLED ENVFILE / etc / hobbit / hobbitclient.cfg CMD $ HOBBITCLIENTHOME / ext / postgres LOGFILE /var/log/xymon/hobbitclient.log INTERVAL 5m Although the graphics do not turn on anything. graphs not showing on column but are in trends

I've got a strange problem with a new graph. I've added the graphs.cfg entry and it's named the same as the column on the Xymon display [vs_stat] FNPATTERN vs_stat.(.*).rrd TITLE Connections YAXIS Connections DEF:conn at RRDIDX@=@RRDFN@:ds0:AVERAGE LINE1:conn at RRDIDX@#@COLOR@:@RRDPARAM@ Conn GPRINT:conn at RRDIDX@:LAST: %8.2lf %s (cur) GPRINT:conn at RRDIDX@:MAX: %8.2lf %s (max) GPRINT:conn at RRDIDX@:MIN: %8.2lf %s (min) GPRINT:conn at RRDIDX@:AVERAGE: %8.2lf %s (avg)\n -l 0 I've added it to TEST2RRD and GRAPHS in xymonserver.cfg (TEST2RRD entry is vs_stat=devmon and GRPAHS is vs_stat::1) All is working as expected except that the graphs are only showing in the trends column and not in the vs_stat column. I based all this work on the if_load definitions for a cisco 6509 from the standard devmon templates and that does show on the of_load column as well as the trends column but my new on doesn't. Has anyone any idea what the issue might be?

Item "PROCS" not complete

I have a problem and i'm unable to resolve . Frequency of monitoring

File Modification Time problem

Hi, I'm running Xymon 4.3.17 under Slackware Linux 32bit. I have a couple of files on a Windows box which are being checked for modification time. (They act as heartbeat files for an in-house developed process) They are reporting: [[file 1]] File was modified 4294963721 seconds ago - should be <3600 [[file 2]] File was modified 4294963853 seconds ago - should be <1800 As far as I can tell the numbers being given are the maximum value of an unsigned 4 byte integer less the actual value of the modified time difference. However DST is implicated since the problem started happening at ~02:02 on Sunday morning when the UK switched to British Summer Time. I've restarted the Xymon processes, and restarted the BBWin process, to no effect. My search through lists.xymon.com hasn't returned anything that appears relevant, although obviously I may have missed something. Any pointers as to how I can continue to debug this, or thoughts on how to fix it, would be appreciated. class= in analysis.cfg

I am using the CLASS= option in the client-local.cfg and in analysis.cfg. The file options from client cfg get pushed to the client ok and proper logs are collected. When I work with the analysis.cfg file it is not triggering on the keywords and color for the log files. I use the Xymon_client -test and this works my rules properly trigger on the test keywords. I am using 4.3.10 on server and 4.3.12 on client. I am preparing to upgrade server and client to 4.3.17. I see in the notes that .14 to .16 had some work in this area. analysis.cfg not working?

Have an odd thing that popped up with analysis.cfg I renamed all of my groups in hosts.cfg so that everything was consistent – then tried this in analysis.cfg: DISPLAYGROUP="Bastion" PROC /usr/bin/pt-heartbeat 2 8 red However, this PROC got applied to all hosts in the hosts.cfg (and procs went red for ~800 hosts or so, until I removed it) Is it an issue with analysis.cfg? Or because I use the group bastion several times in hosts.cfg, or? Add block of text below graph?

Hello, We are using Xymon 4.3.12, and would like to graph some stats from our (Shibboleth) authentication system - typically the number of users authenticated etc. However, is it possible to add a block of dynamic text below the graph (below the axis label)? We would like a small table showing the top ten sites that users have logged in to at that time. This could be plain text, but could be an HTML table. Is that possible?
