rrdfetch interval changing

Hi guys, I am trying to fetch disk usage data from the RRD file disk,projets,my,home.rrd with the resolution/interval of 5minutes: rrdtool fetch disk,projets,my,home.rrd AVERAGE -r 300 -s 1371867766 -e 1387279723 | awk '{printf("%s|", strftime("%Y %b %d",$1)); printf("%s|", strftime("%H:%M:%S",$1)); printf("%.2f\n",$2)}' The start date is 06.2013 and the end date is 17.12.2013 Unfortunately I receive data with interval of one day: [..] Date: Time: % Busy: 2013 Dec 10|01:00:00|10.00 2013 Dec 11|01:00:00|10.00 2013 Dec 12|01:00:00|10.00 2013 Dec 13|01:00:00|10.00 2013 Dec 14|01:00:00|10.00 2013 Dec 15|01:00:00|10.00 2013 Dec 16|01:00:00|10.00 2013 Dec 17|01:00:00|10.00 How to change it ? Windows Questions...

Greetings all. I'm getting an odd behavior surrounding Windows mounts, and I thought some of you might have some tips. Xymon 4.3.11 over 100 hosts managed, no issues Many monitoring various disk mounts in Linux, no issues. I'm monitoring a shared disk in Linux-land like so: First, I've touched an empty file on the mount. This mount is n Linux: /mnt/j/MOUNTMONITOR analysis.cfg: FILE /mnt/j/MOUNTMONITOR TYPE=file OWNERID=root GROUPID=nfsnobody MODE=0770 red TRACK client-local.cfg: file:/mnt/j/MOUNTMONITOR:10240 All behaves precisely as I would expect. If I dismount /mnt/j, then Xymon alerts, and all is happy. However, in the case of Windows, it's not so easy for some reason. I tried to mirror what I was doing in Linux on the Windows side like so: analysis.cfg: FILE J:/MOUNTMONITOR TYPE=file OWNERID=root GROUPID=nfsnobody MODE=0770 red TRACK client-local.cfg file:J:/MOUNTMONITOR:10240 If I unmap the drive, Xymon (BBWin, more appropriately) doesn't care. It just happily continues on as I would expect. Further, I can delete the empty file MOUNTMONITOR and all the linux boxes go red for that mount while the Windows boxes act as if nothing ever happened. What is the *proper* way to monitor a file on a mounted drive in Windows, or under the BBWin client? Thanks in advance, everyone. --- Jerald M. Sheets jr.

Devmon templates

any known bugs with acknowledge not "sticking"?

We're running 4.3.10 on RHEL6 and I'm seeing for some local client test that acks are not "sticking". I'll use the multiple alert ack and the note at the bottom will say "next update in [4 minutes]" when I acked for four hours. how to get the CPU max usage info

Hello In xymon we can see the graph : [hourly graph] Could You tell me how to get the values of the "% CPU Busy" listed on the bottom ? Is it possible to key on the "NAME:" or "CLIENT:" definition instead of HOST? Monitoring several systems in EC2 and all the servers have hosts defined as ec2-12-34-56-78.blah.blah.blah. =G=

LDAP monitoring nonstandard port

Hello, I am running ApacheDS as my internal LDAP on a non standard port. I seem to not be able to monitor that port via Xymon. A tcpdump of the destination server shows Xymon still attempting to monitor port 389 even though I have told my hosts.cfg file to use the port it is listening on. Does anyone have any clues to this? I am running 4.3.12 on a Linux server.

Hi Everyone, I'm very very new to XYMON, as a matter of fact, I just installed it 15 minutes ago. I thought I was cruising along quite nicely until I tested it. powershell script with BBWin

I've created a powershell script that upon completion creates a file in C:\Program Files (x86)\BBWin\tmp just as I have many VBS scripts doing. The file is called Trans and disappears from the tmp directory as would be expected, however the Trans column never updates on the relevant page in Xymon. If I copy the contents of the file and create a new file with exactly the same name, then paste the contents in, it disappears as expected and the column updates on Xymon. Has anyone any idea why the powershell generated file is not successfully updating Xymon ? I've checked all the logs and there is nothing there. xymonnet error - will not start due to pcre

Hi Hope someone can offer insight into this issue whereby the xymonnet.log continues to report the following error. exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program xymonnet because of the following errors: 0509-150 Dependent module ../lib/libpcre.a(libpcre.so.1) could not be loaded. 0509-022 Cannot load module ../lib/libpcre.a(libpcre.so.1). 0509-026 System error: A file or directory in the path name does not exist. I have tried setting the following to LIBRARY PATH's but this has not helped export LD_LIBRARY_PATH="/usr/local/bin"export LIBPATH="/usr/local/bin"
