Terabithia RPMs still active?

Does anybody know if terabithia.org is still maintaining Fedora RPMs for xymon?? I exchanged emails with Japheth over half a year ago, but have not received any replies to more recent inquiries; RPMs for Fedora 31 are not working and for 32 are missing altogether; the latest changes in Testing are from early May. Alternatively, does anyone know of another repo with Fedora 31 or 32 RPMs for xymon? --Marcin

Xymon Dependancies configuration.

Hi, I am trying to configure xymon dependencies so that if the core router is down my xymon server only pages me for the core router. In reading the man page it says to do something like the following: 1.2.3.4 cg1.example.com # noconn https://cg1.example.com depends=(http:router.example.com/conn) The above works for a single service but the above host for example has http and sslcert. How can I tell xymon that if router.example.com is down all of the other services for a host should go clear? I tried setting the service to a * that does not work. and I tried listing services separated with either a comma or a pipe but no joy. Is this even possible? Even adding a 2nd depends statement does not work. Also is there a way to test the syntax to know if I got it right short of waiting for 5 or 10 minutes to see if it worked? why nfs mounts are excluded from xymon analysis

HI, I see xymon analysis.cfg DISK settings not covering nfs mounts because they are excluded from [df]. We have use cases to cover disk usage on nfs mounts. If I change xymonclient-linux.sh to un-exclude nfs and nfs4, is there any potential side effects given I don?t know the reasons why they are currently being excluded. Thanks, -Max

Configuring a red alert for: Machine recently rebooted

I tried to configure an alert that should stay red for one hour after a reboot. The toolonglimit should be infinite. My analysis.conf contains: HOST=hal ??????? UP 1h -1? red This leads to a red cpu status: "Machine has been up more than 0 days" Obviously the toolonglimit of -1 isn't working as I expected it. dump-config shows 0 in thetoolong-column: bbrother at xymon:~/server $ bin/xymond_client --dump-config | grep UP UP 3600 0 HOST=hal (line: 358) ?tested under 4.3.28 (the dump-config test showed the same result under 4.3.30) Is this the expected behaviour? I worked around it by specifying a lot of weeks for toolonglimit.

Hello, I do often things like that (on hosts.d/mytest.cfg) 172.16.y.xxx host31 \ #http://www.toto.com=/172.16.y.xxx but recently on new hosts, this test is red but if i do that (on the host to check) curl -sIL -H "Host: www.toto.com" "http://localhost" all is ok So does the test is start from the server ? 1/ If yes, is there a way to execute the same test in localhost ? Hello, I have 2 xymon server 1st one (xymon01=172.16.2.108) : all clients send data do it (*toto* + *titi*) 2nd one (back01=172.16.1.198) : only few clients (only with name like *toto*) send data to it For exemple back01 https://back01/xymon-cgi/confreport.sh i see all hosts (titi02 for exemple) that only send data to xymon01 only ===> how is it possible ? client toto04 : grep "^XYMONSERVERS" /etc/default/xymon-client XYMONSERVERS="172.16.2.108 172.16.1.198" client titi02: grep "^XYMONSERVERS" /etc/default/xymon-client XYMONSERVERS="172.16.2.108" I do grep -r titi02 /etc/xymon /usr/lib/xymon /var/lib/xymon on back01, but nothing is reporting -- Greg

netrc not working

Hi all.? I'm trying to get xymon to log into a device we have and check for a keyword on a certain page.? I know how to check a site for keyword using 'cont', but the device requires a login and I can't seem to get it to work.? It's just an http device, but the http://username:password at 1.2.3.4.com doesn't work, and neither does the 'netrc' file that I found in an old blog post.? Anyone know how to get this to work? -- Kris Springer

I recently came across the same issue when one of the sites I monitor did the same. My Google searches lead to the possiblity of doing one of two things: 1) Modify the xymonnet call in tasks.cfg to include --sni (the default is --nosni) 2) Add "sni" to the site's entry in hosts.cfg (adding this to the hosts.cfg overrides the default behavior and/or the behavior as configured in tasks.cfg, for the host entry in question).
