hobbit.sh not stopping server correctly

Hi, I think I have an issue with 4.2.3 where the hobbit.sh is not stopping the server correctly. Running "./hobbit.sh stop" doesn't stop all the hobbit processes and so I can't install this as a service currently. Could anyone help me to debug why this is happening? I'm not really sure where to go from here. Many thanks James

This showed up right after I tried messing around with Debian/Ubuntu style init.d scripts... gave up on that today, just created a simple wrapper for runclient.sh and hobbit.sh, cause I really just want it working. When we upgrade to the next LTS release, I'll just install the packaged version and that'll come with proper init.d scripts (wish these were included in the base tarball). This is what I see: - Program crashed Fatal signal caught! Status unchanged in 15 days,0 hours, 53 minutes Status message received from 127.0.0.1 Nothing I do seems to cause this to go away. I'm not sure how to tell if this is running or not...

I just came in this morning to find the only message on xymon to be a purple HOBBIT_RRD... When clicking on it, it says "Program Crashed" - Fatal signal caught! I have rebooted the server, and restarted the hobbit server and still no dice... Mysterious Sawtooth Graphs

Hi I use Hobbit to monitor about 700 systems. I get some mysterious looking graphs with the CONN test and also the bbgen test itself. It looks like two overlayed sawtooth curves. Any idea why the graphs look so weird? I cannot believe these are the real response times. hobbitfetch and file tests

Hey all, I have a few servers that I can't connect directly too and I'm doing a version of hobbitfetch over ssh. Everything's working except for the file/dir monitoring. Anyone have suggestions on how to get the file status and report it to the control daemon to trigger an alert? nobb2 tag

Hi all, I have some servers that have the nobb2 tag. The don't show up on bb2.html as expected. Now I have a script that gets the status of the tests via bb 127.0.0.1 "hobbitdboard color=red,yellow,purple" and creates a webpage out of it. On this page the servers with the nobb2 tag appear. Is there a flag or parameter for hobbitdboard where you can say if the tag is found ignore the server also? If not would it be a good idea to add such a parameter to the next version?
