DOWNTIME not working

Hellow fellow xymon users, I am stuck. I have a custom test on a host that only runs from 7am to 11am. The rest of the time it does not run. I dont want it to show up purple just blue. I will put exactly what my bb-hosts file shows 0.0.0.0. Pro015 #NOCOLUMNS:cpu ftp ssh DOWNTIME=rouge_detector:*:1100:0700 i tried this and it should work I've also tried 0.0.0.0. Pro015 #NOCOLUMNS:cpu ftp ssh "DOWNTIME=rouge_detector:*:1100:0700" 0.0.0.0. Pro015 #NOCOLUMNS:cpu ftp ssh "DOWNTIME= [rouge_detector:]*:1100:0700" 0.0.0.0. Pro015 #NOCOLUMNS:cpu ftp ssh DOWNTIME= [rouge_detector:]*:1100:0700 0.0.0.0. Pro015 #NOCOLUMNS:cpu ftp ssh SLA=*:1100:0700 I dont know why the "rouge_detector" test will not go blue. I just dont want it to show up purple from 11am till 7am the next day... any ideas...Is this even the correct format ... Hobbit and bb-sar.sh

Hi everyone, I'm sure this has been raised numerous times. Most of the threads I see are way back in 2006 or earlier so hoping things have progressed nicely since then. Basically I want sar graphs in Hobbit/Xymon 4.2.3. I have just recently migrated from BigBrother and this is about the only thing left to do. I followed the instructions on the following page : http://xymonton.trantor.org/doku.php/reports:xymonpdf The SAR column appears, I click on a say the CPU graph and the picture shows but there is no activity whatsoever. It's just a blank graph? Now I ran 'sar -A 1 1' and dont see "Average" as mentioned in the following paragraph. Quote: ** Watch out for the locale used on your system !! All my systems are configured with english locale and so are my scripts. If something is not working, please check the output of a 'sar' command ('sar -A 1 1') and seek for the word 'Average'. This word is used in my 'extragraph.sh' script to extract the infos…* Has anyone had this issue or have an idea what is going on. All help appreciated. Need help, or new feature request - Indent host.

Hi all Is there a way to indent a host in the hobbit view? I want to list my physical host in the standard view, followed by the hosted virtual zones (Solaris 10 here) after it. But I want a way to see at a glance which are physical and which are zones. I was thinking a display that looked something like this HostA * * * VHost1 * * * VHost2 * * * HostB * * * VHost3 * * * VHost4 * * * Is there a way of doing this? If not, can I add this as a feature request? Maybe an indent keyword in the bb-hosts tags? Possibly even take it a step further, and add indent[index] to allow for further indents of more than one tab? Possible? Regards Vernon NOTICE: This email and any attachments are confidential. Hi, I have recently installed xymon 4.3.0.0-beta2 on Solaris 10 and everything is working good except that the hobbit-clients.cfg file seems to be ignoring DISK entries. Below is the entry that I have on the server under $xymon_home/server/etc. Have I incorrectly setup the IGNORE entries as they are still being reported on the disk page. HOST=hostname.xx.xxxx.com UP 1h LOAD 5.0 10.0 DISK * 90 95 DISK /prod/CD_X86 IGNORE DISK /etc/svc/volatile IGNORE DISK /etc/dfs/dsftab IGNORE FILE /serial_number SIZE>0 yellow MEMPHYS 100 101 MEMSWAP 50 80 MEMACT 90 97 PROC cron PROC ncftpd 3 4 PROC ssh Regards Paul

bb-findhost.cgi fails

Hi ! On one of my hobbit-server (4.2.0 + allpatches) the search for hosts fails with option "jump to page" .. if i disable this option it's fine ... With the option "jump to page", i've got a google webside with "keyword:servername" in the address-bar .. Any hints ? thanks & cheers Martin

false alert-mail from different hosts

Hi ! I've got tonight several alert-mails of 3 host, which a false, because they've got the data from three other hosts .. I know it's sounds very strange ...:-( e.g. hobbit gives me an alert for HostA, because the disk is full and special processes are not running, but if i look into the full alert-mail .. i see some host specfic processes which are not from the Host A but insteed from Host B .. How could this be ? :-c Any hints .. Thanks & Cheers Martin
