[hobbit] Http test behind proxy

Henrik, Thank you for that info. In doing this I noticed something that may not be considered a bug but maybe an annoyance?...you decide. The format stated is: If your proxy requires authentication, you can specify the username and password inside the proxy-part of the URL, e.g. http://fred:Wilma1 at webproxy.sample.com:3128/http://www.foo.com/ will authenticate to the proxy using a username of "fred" and a password of "Wilma1", before requesting the proxy to fetch the www.foo.com homepage But my password contains the "@" symbol (which appears to be the delimiter between password and proxy server) and when I used it in this example: http://kevin:p at ssword@webproxy.sample.com:8080/http://www.foo.com/ I got a DNS error. I am guessing it thought my proxy was "ssword" or maybe "ssword at webproxy.sample.com which is incorrect and could no be resolved. Is there a way around this? apache1,2,3 graphs

I have a very weird problem. Basically all of my apache graphs look exactly the same, but the data that comes out of ...status?auto is very much different. I have 5 hosts with apache graphs on. 4 of the hosts are defined like so 0.0.0.0 servername.syr.edu # http://virthostname.syr.edu apache=http://realhostname.syr.edu/server-status?auto LARRD:*,apache:apache|apache1|apache2|apache3 1 host (my hobbit host) is defined very similarly but it has the IP address in it. Seems way to coincidental that all these graphs look very much the same. My hobbit host is not very highly used but one of the machines I am monitoring receives millions of hits a day. cisco cpu/memory scripts and hobbit

How can I get cisco cpu and memory scripts from deadcat.net to work with hobbit? I've put the bb-ciscocpu.pl and bb-ciscomem.pl scripts in the ext directory. load avg y-axis units a bit odd

I have several servers who's load avg is often below 1.0 for days at a time. This morning I happened to check their larrd graphs and noticed that they all had rather odd (at least in the load average sense of things) Y-axis scaling. Instead of a fractional value like 0.2, 0.8, they read 200m, 800m. My BB server with larrd-0.43c, which is graphing the same data (it uses BBRELAY to send it to hobbit), uses the fractional units and I verified my hobbitgraphs.cfg la rrd definitions (seen below) matched those in BB/larrd. Is this something hobbit does? I used the same rrdtool tarball to build both my BB & hobbit servers, so I don't think it's the rrd toolkit. Hi, So I'm trying to get alerts working.
