[hobbit] Temperature graphs

That section for temperature does not exist. I saw another post from Charles Jones saying that the hobbitgraph.cfg did not get copied during a "make setup" so I tried copying that file from where you specified (hobbit-4.0-RC2/hobbitd/etcfiles/) and now the temperature graphs are there! It appears that there is a problem during install with that file (hobbitgraph.cfg). Thanks for the help guys. possible alerting bug in RC2?

Hi, So I installed RC2 this morning. Later on, I noticed an alert email for a monitor going into yellow. I had disabled this previously with --alertcolors=red,purple in hobbitlaunch.cfg. [hobbit] Ext tests/scripts

I'd like to throw in a vote for platform specific definitions as well. As the maintainer of over 40 scripts, it is a nice feature in BB to allow me to rely on pre defined variables so I don't need to work out which grep I need to use, and be fairly confident a variable will be available. Personally, I don't like to rely on what my path will return, it is challenging to keep path statements consistent. For security reasons, I always call binaries with the full path if I can. (Some systems may have /usr/local/bin first, others don't). I'm okay with hobbit not defining $GREP and friends out of the box, but the ability to do it for each platform would be very nice. I've been bitten by the stupid default binaries on Solaris as well. Some of us do not have the ability to easily add software to systems (company policies, change control, laws, etc). Most of my shell scripts check for pre defined variables, if not set, it defines what it thinks it should use and posts a yellow warning complaining about it. One of the great features of hobbit is the ability to use any BB deadcat script... I agree this is mainly a client side issue, but something to keep in mind... ;) Craig ps. My fault, I had not stopped and restarted hobbit. Once I did that, the mrtg column showed up and all my graphs are there! Thanks for your help! AGAIN! Problem with some hobbit manpages

Hi all I'm not allowed to access any hobbit manpage whose name include "cgi" (for example bb-hostsvc.cgi.1.html); it results in [Mon Feb 14 17:21:48 2005] [error] [client 10.50.8.55] Options ExecCGI is off in this directory: /home/hobbit/hobbit/server/www/help/manpages/man1/bb-hostsvc.cgi.1.html, referer: http://10.50.8.10/hobbit/help/manpages/ in my access_log. bbmrtg.sh Script help

Ok, I've added the [mrtg] stuff to hobbitlaunch, defined the variables in hobbitserver, but I don't understand scripting enough to know what is happening here with bbmrtg.sh. I've added the -x for debugging, and I get a ton of lines that look like this in the bbmrtg.log file created in /var/log/hobbit/bbmrtg.log: I don't know why it doesn't find the file or directory, I just don't know enough about scripting to read it and see what it's actually trying to do. Henrik, I have been having much the same problem, if not worse. Bbdisplay has been doing all kinds of weird and less wonderful things; like not generating entries for the tests which are defined, displaying some of them, sometimes working, and also going to the beloved purple. For what it is worth, I checked my BBSERVERHOSTNAME as you suggest; to find the server's host name, not the FQDN as I had defined in bb-hosts. So far, (over the last hour or so), Hobbit has been working like a dream. Beautiful work on Hobbit too. I have been using BB for a few years now (but only in the Windoze environment), and am very very new to Linux (despite several past attempts). It did take me a few try's to get hobbit going; and one thing I found that if your installing hobbit to the "hobbit user" home directory, apache 2.0 doesn't like aliasing inside these folders - access denied no matter what.
