[hobbit] bbdisplay problems after adding some new hosts

Hello Henrik, I will send you the checkpoint file directly. But I found out that it seems to be a single test after all (first time I didn't wait long enough). Everytime I send the attached status message to my hobbit server it will crash after 5-10 minutes. Henrik, Thanks for the quick reply, 1. Yes all three servers are independent of each other and are running the HOBBIT server SW. 2. The files for the various hosts appear to getting updated regularly. (Dont know how valid the contents are since they are not appearing.) Non random SSL problem

Hi Peoples, I am new to the list and relatively new to hobbit and I am having some troubles getting it working on a Solaris 9 box. I have the patch to fix the /dev/random issue. I have installed openssl-0.9.7g. When I build hobbit without ssl support it works fine. When I try and run ./configure and select yes for ssl support I get the following error message. It then prompts me to see if I still want to install with ssl support. If I answer yes to this it seems to work but any https: url's in the config file fail. The error received during configure is: Found OpenSSL include files in /usr/local/ssl/include Undefined first referenced symbol in file socket /usr/local/ssl/lib/libcrypto.a(rand_egd.o) connect /usr/local/ssl/lib/libcrypto.a(rand_egd.o) ld: fatal: Symbol referencing errors. Henrik, Since it was working well on 2 other machines, I have migrated off the problem server onto another and it too works properly. I am giving up on trying to figure out what is wrong with the bad server. I think it is a library problem with rrdtool. On the status-pages where the graphs should have been, do you get a "broken image" link ? Or if you do a "view source" on eg the cpu status page, is there a section like this: <IMG BORDER=0 SRC="/hobbit-cgi/hobbitgraph.sh?host=somehostname&service=la .... If there is, it would be interesting to know if the web server logs have logged any errors from the hobbitgraph.sh CGI script. &green status tags

Hi, with bb you could send some tags like &green &red to the bb-server and where replaced by the corresponding image source tag. with hobbit I only get the text "&green" instead of the green icon displayed. Is there a way to configure this with hobbit? most of our customized scripts uses this tags..... Thanks

MRTG-based Graphs in Trends Section

Hey everyone. Love Hobbit! It's fast and configurable. We are having trouble with the above. The problem deals with the Title Tag in the MRTG configuration file of the host. I have several routers which contain many interfaces being monitored. Unless we create a separate rrd configuration section for each interface, the title of the graph is the same. Any way to have Hobbit read the Title Tag in the MRTG Configuration File and thus label the graphs accordingly? Thanks everyone... Alan

Hello, is the number of tests per host limited? I've cleaned my bb-hosts and as I add one host with many tests. I disabled all customized tests and tried to find out if its a single test. But all test run by itself didn't crash the hobbit server - running all together did! The host runs about 20 tests. I just added a host to the group in vi and after that when I add a host in the web it gets created correctly. Any thoughts? I just installed the newest version of hostedit and having strange problems. Everything works great except for when I add a host to a page it always gets created under the front. So if I create a page and descend into it, and select "add a host to this page" it always creates it on the front page and not the one I just created it in. any suggestions? Btw, I installed both these patches and same result. Thanks
