No more than 4 disk graphs?

I have one system that has a ton of file systems - 17 to be exact. In hobbit, each disk graph shows 4 filesystems. I only ever get 4 graphs, with the last image only a broken image link to "hobbit graph". The 17th file system never gets graphed. When I unmounted one of them as a test, I got exactly 4 graphs, all clean. Is there some internal limit to the number of disk file systems that can be graphed? --------------------------------------------------------- Kent C. Disk monitoring via free blocks

I have very large file systems I need to monitor, and the standard hobbit/bb client monitors won't allow monitoring by bytes left, which is what I need. The deadcat site has been down for the past 2 days, and I didn't see anything but wish requests for byte free monitoring. I need this for AIX, does anyone have the bb disk client for bytes free they can send me, or give any quick pointers on how to do this natively in hobbit. My hobbit server is 4.1.2p1. At this point it appears I will have to roll my own byte free monitor. I would appreciate any tips or code anyone could supply. Host Notes

Do you plan on adding a cgi to enable live editing of "notes" (www/notes/hostname) files? I saw in the manpage for bb-gen mention of a script on dead-cat that gives that functionality, but I would like to eventually see something that builds a "nice looking" notes page that has the same background and font color etc as the rest of the Hobbit pages. Currently if you just put something in a notes file you get a big ugly white screen with the raw text. Maybe a header/footer for the notes page would solve that? -Charles

I don't think there is a way to do this, as the web-based access into the hobbit management interface is all or nothing-- once you are "authenticated", you can enable/disable hosts, add/delete systems from the critical systems list, etc. Although I think this would be a nice-to-have for the future, my guess is that its implementation would be somewhat complex......... --------------------------------------------------------- Kent C. Is there a way to determine what this really means... "yellow Thu Jul 27 05:36:54 2006 ftp NOT ok Service ftp on syix.com is not OK : Unexpected service response" I manually test over and over again, and it never fails... Always gives me a proper response. Hobbit shows it up again this fast: green Thu Jul 27 05:38:59 2006 ftp ok Just wondering if there is a flag or something that I can see what the "unexpected" response really is? Any suggestions?

who lied about (truncated) ps output ?

bbwin_0.7 cpu %

Does anyone have any advice on how to gauge the cpu % on the bbwin client. After I upgraded the client my Dell 6850 (with either dual xeon or quad). Now the numbers on the side of the rrd chart has 0.0 - 1.0 - 2.0 and it says sql server is using 191.0 %. How are you supposed to read this?

I don't know. But it sure does look like that server is sending two sets of results. Do you have two Hobbit servers set up with one forwarding to the other? Or two clients on that misbehaving server? I have no BB hosts any more. All pure Hobbit. Is there a way to turn debugging on for the RRD stuff to narrow down what is causing the duplicate error?
