Hi all... I've just released the new version of those clients (now in a single package) at http://sourceforge.net/projects/hobbit-perl-cl/ Some new function related to this version (not a full list of news because the big work in this release was to move all the function shared by the scripts to a single library to mantain them better): - Timeout connecting/querying databases implemented - Timeout in command execution - mysql support for dbcheck.pl - aggregate and cluster support for netapp.pl - Implementation of /GROUP directive of bb command on a per filers/database/weblogicserver base - some bug fixes Francesco

I have a cisco 3550 switch I am trying to use devmon with. SNMP is enabled in the switch, but devmon does not seem to do anything with it. The templates dir has cisco-3500 listed as a device it knows about... critical systems view help

Hi, I've installed 4.2, been playing with it for about a week now. I still can't seem to get anything showing up on the critical view page after using the admin-critical server setup page. Tried following the instructions as best I can, and I don't see any acknowledgement stuff. Any logs or something I can look on this to help figure out the issue would be helpful if someone can steer me in that direction. I even tried on the www.hswn.dk site for the www.sslug.dk backup column which is alerting yellow and dont see anything in the critical view. I just can't seem to get the same results as shown in the Help - Critical Systems howto....feel like an idiot on this one. Hobbit server resolving client name in correctly

I have a new installation of Hobbit 4.2.0 monitoring a private network (192.158.151.0/24) It is currently monitoring a number of Windows servers with BB clients reporting data to hobbit. The Hobbit system is configured to use two Windows DC's for DNS resolution. Hobbit however is reporting in the CONN column that one of the DC's has a public IP address on the 64.20.33.0/29 network. How is this happening? The BBHOST file has the correct local IP address and FQDN host name. None of the client specific data is registering with Hobbit either. If I perform a lookup from the system, the host name resolves correctly to the private IP address of this box. Hi Henrik, thanks for the answer. That was the problem. I was suffering from the usual admin problem that there was more blood than coffee running through my veins. :-/ Can I also do something like FILE /some/filename yellow SIZE<50M SIZE>10M when the file should be between 10 and 50 MB? Hi, I'm trying to get familiar with the files test. At the moment this test shows a "clear" icon. I want to check if /var/adm/wtmpx is smaller than 50 MB. I've added FILE yellow /var/adm/wtmpx SIZE<50M TRACK=wtmp to hobbit-clients.cfg and file:/var/adm/wtmpx to client-local.cfg. But nothing happens. What am I missing? Regards Torsten
