column documentation - dynamic link?

I use the docurl facility and like it a lot. I've been thinking it would be cool to be able to do something similar with the column documentation, which seems to be fixed at selecting an entry from the columndoc.csv file. Basically, I'd like to use a docurl-like link to take me to a file (or a CGI) that could hold my documentation for the column meaning, and troubleshooting information associated with that test. hobbit_client crashing on Solaris 9 hobbit version 4.2.0

The hobbit_client on my Solaris 9 server (which also runs my hobbit server, version 4.2.0) went red last night (after several months of perfect operation). Apparently hobbit_client keeps crashing and dumping core files, then the hobbit server / channels process restarts it. I tried restarting hobbit, but the problem persists. Hobbit Program

All, I seem recall reading about a program within Hobbit that can be called from external scripts to poll the status of a client before the execution of a script. Basically if the client is down then the external script would be written that it simply reports clear or whatever status color is warranted without having to go through some alternative method of checking for client availability before execution. I looked through the documentation and didn't see it in there, but swear that I have seen something like this before. Any ideas? Thanks, Robert

I'm running hobbit-4.2.0 (on Solaris 10). In the mailing list messages I see references to an "allinone" patch. Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but where can I find the patch? Thanks, Steve Holmes

BBWIN on x64

Etienne, Do you have a timeline for supporting x64 versions of Windows with the BBWIN client? Have you tested the x32 client on x64 systems? I've just deployed my first x64 server and it will go into production this weekend. I have another one coming tomorrow that will go into production in about two weeks. Graph the cpu usage of certain processes

Hello again. Has anyone created a graph that can show the cpu load of different processes on the same server? For example, we have an OS X server running apache, MySQL, and a couple of other commands. I'd like a graph that would show: the CPU usage of httpd as a blue line, MySQL as a red line and a couple of other processes each with their own color. Since there are multiple httpd processes, could they be grouped and have their load added together? I don't need to know how many processes are running, as this is already in procs. -Eric

Suggestion about Disabled Status

Hello, Currently when an alert is raised, and an administrator disables the alert, an email is sent stating that the resource has been recovered. The body of the email still says that the test is "Not OK" , but the subject of the email still says Recovered. I don't know how difficult this would be to configure, but would it be possible to have the subject of this email stat the the alert has been disabled instead? Thanks, Jeff

hobbit agents for AS/400 and OS/390 or Z/OS

I've searched a bit and seen some questions from last year but not enough to get ,e ready to start kicking. Does anybody have the hobbit client built and fully monitoring OS/400 and Z/OS (or OS/390)? I have some Windows system admins now comfortable with the bb-win hobbit client and they are busy expanding their installed base. I have hobbit-client on all of my Linux servers, and I'm trying to get it onto my HP-UX servers.
