Possible to trend multiple apache (server-status) on same host?

I have some servers to monitor that run several apache instances on different ports. I can easily monitor one of them via "apache=...", but how do I monitor the others? Note I am talking about server-status monitoring and not http test. Thanks -Charles

Disk Monitoring

Hello All, I had a recent problem with monitoring filesystems, and I wanted some assistance. We have a couple database servers using Veritas clustering. Can anyone recommend a method for monitoring the Veritas clustering and filesystems? When the clustering went down, several partitions were unmounted. Hobbit didn't alert us that the partitions were not available. I'm curious, let's say hobbit is monitoring the filesystem (disk), and someone unmounts a partition that is in vfstab or the filesystem is no longer accessible, disk goes down, but the mount still shows. Does Hobbit alert to these? (The cluster mounts are not in the vfstab, but I just wondering about other filesystems) Thanks..James

Paging & Notification Not Working

Hi, is there a fix for the problem, meanwhile? We have the same situation, here. A filesystem on one of our mail servers ran full, but the admins didn't get an alert from hobbit. The server is listed in our bb-hosts file on the "mail" page with an IP of "0.0.0.0". I found out that only the hosts with a real IP address will get an alert. I could find a workaround: if I add the option "prefer" to the host entry with the "0.0.0.0" address, the host gets an alert. But if there are more entries of the same host on different pages, only the first one with the "prefer" option is recognized by the alert function. So, if we have the following bb-hosts file: page linux 123.456.78.9 my.mail.host # ... page mail 0.0.0.0 my.mail.host # noconn page redhat 0.0.0.0 my.mail.host # noconn prefer and I define alerts for all three pages, the alert only works for page "linux" and page "redhat". The host on page "mail" is being ignored. Graphs shows up ONLY on trends column

I created a new test and generated rrd file according the instrcution below: http://www.hswn.dk/hobbit/help/howtograph.html Now I see the rrd file and I see the graph on trends column for that test. But I do not see the graph on status page. According the `howtograph.html' page above and I quote, "If you go and look at the status page for the *slab* column, you should not see any graph yet, but a link to *hobbit graph ncv:slab*. One final step is missing." Hi, I'm new to the list. I already modified hobbit server to allow a TOOLTIP tag for hosts. This displays a tooltip box when hovering over the hostname. Ofcourse same should be done for the status dots etc. Tooltips are heavily underappreciated and can be extremely useful in limiting the amount of mouse clicks in order to get detailed information or help. I can sent the few lines I changed to implement the tooltips. Graphs without text

I have hobbit 4.2.0 and rrdtool 1.2.23. I have graphs but no text. I see from several other shire-folk that the problem is with missing rrdtool fonts. Ignore the e typo in the ignore rule. It should be: <ignore logfile="Application" eventid="1711" /> The extra 'e' is NOT in the BBWIN config file.
