Hiya Has anybody had a problem where the graphing is working fine within trends but not with in the individual monitors? The graphs worked fine for a day but has stopped after 24 hours or so.

sort pages alphabetically

[hobbit] array drive monitoring under hp servers G5 with solaris 10 x86

Ive solaris 10 x86 running but no arrays; but the "meta" commands works. try /usr/sbin/metadb . If that returns data then get meta.sh from deatcat. Works with my sparcs.

Hi, We got several servers with os solaris 10 x86 on hardware HP DL360 G5 and we want to be able to monitor the status of the array drives configured on the embedded raid crontoler (p400i). Even if HP support solaris, they doesn't seem to publish the appropriate monitoring software for this configuration. The utility array-info (http://sourceforge.net/projects/array-info) we use on redhat is just available for linux. Does someone has that type of configuration and solutions to monitor array drives ? Receive Trap SNMP in Hobbit

Hello, I'm using several monitoring tools but I want Hobbit the main console. I'm using already hobbit to monitor a couple of servers & network appliance and the other monitoring tools are specific. The other monitoring tools can forward SNMP traps. I would like Hobbit to receive the SNMP trap and set alerts according to the result. Is there a way to do this? I've checked http://cerebro.victoriacollege.edu/hobbit-trap.html but I look a little bit complicated. I'm aware of any suggestion who could be as much reliable/flexible as possible. [hobbit] Large number of TIME_WAITs

I noticed something strange on my Hobbit server, though I'm not sure if it's a problem or not. There are about 140 TIME_WAITs from the local IP of the Hobbit server, and about 30 TIME_WAITs from localhost, all using port 1984. If I use the find command in hobbit under Administration, and look for a certain item say "vod". GROUP restricted alerts aren't showing up in info column

FYI: Alerts that are restricted by groupnames using the GROUP tag aren't showing up under the info column on the 4.3 snapshots. I started making use of the GROUP tag for my disk alerts this morning and not a single disk alert shows up in the info column for any of the servers affected by the configuration change. I did confirm that the group restricted disk alerts work using the "bbcmd hobbitd_alert --test" command. Tom

Process ID Tracking.

Is hobbit capable of tracking the PID of a process that it is watching for? I am in need of identifying if a process restarts with a new process id. Several of our applications are self healing but we still need notification that this did indeed restart. Any suggestions would be helpful. Paul Moore

Graph zoom hangs

I'm having a strange problem zooming in on some of my graphs. When I click on the magniy glass icon, no graph shows and the browser just hangs waiting for something. Below is part of the httpd log which is the only log I can find with anything relevant. Weird thing is, other graphs using the same test and graph definitions work fine, and other graphs from the same host work. It's just "some" of the graphs that do this. I've deleted the rrd file and let it re-create it, but still same thing. I'm using rrdtool 1.2.26 and Hobbit 4.3.0-0.20080103 on Redhat 5. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. D.
