Hi, I've had a scour to see if this has been addressed before and I can't find anything. My Xymon URL begins with /xymon and all pages are displayed properly except Ghost Clients and Notification Log. Both pages are missing the menu and the style is messed up. I've tracked down the cause - they are both looking in /hobbit/menu and hobbit/gifs for the menu.css and gifs respectively. It seems the cgi scripts are setting BBMENUSKIN and BBSKIN incorrectly. Any ideas? (I have checked the config files too). Adding a New Column to my hobbit server

Is there a way i can debug to find what went wrong? 2. Is there a way to know if the client is able to send the data to the hobbit server? 3. If the client is able to send the data to the hobbit server, why is it not displaying the new column. My client side script is running every 5 mins from $BBHOME/ext. Please assist and let me know if there is any more information required. Regards, Sanu

Hello, I'm using Xymon 4.2.3 and BBWin 0.12 When I change in hobbit-clients.cfg > HOST=janus > SVC mr2kserv startup=automatic status=started to > HOST=janus > SVC mr2kserv status=started I get in /var/log/xymon/clientdata.log: 2009-03-10 14:42:38 Worker process died with exit code 134, terminating and an new column named 'hobbitd_client' on the Xymon server with is red until I undo the changed and then turn purple after the timeout. Negative spikes in rrd graphs

Good morning Xymonners! I have an issue I was hoping someone could help me with. I have created an NCV definition for a mysql script to graphs slow queries and also queries per second. Here is a shortened output of the script: threads: 4 questions: 681188 slow queries: 2 Now Questions is ALWAYS increasing; so i felt that the average statement would be the correct one. However, if i restart the mysql service or even the box and Questions drops to 0 then bad things happen to the graphs. The spike downwards to large negative numbers. Now rrd is doing what it should be doing i.e. giving me an average of the range of numbers. Is there another definition I can use to not have this effect? Cheers Iain

Hobbit restricted access

HI, I monitor several customers servers on my Hobbit and I would like permit some of them to access their own servers with a login/passwd. Each customers have his own directory. But I don't want they can see the others customers and my servers too. Is it possible to do that or run severals Hobbit on the same machine, one by customer. Thanks in advance. Hello all, Just wanted to send off a copy of the proof-of-concept SQL hobbitd_channel storage script we've been using. It could certainly be more useful, but we just wanted to test some of ramifications of keeping status reports like this. Any feedback would be appreciated. HELP: no graphs in Hobbit/Xymon

I'm not having a lot of luck digging into a problem in Xymon, so I'm looking for some hints on how to proceed... I've installed Xymon 4.2.2 on several systems (one server) and it appears to be running correctly. However, only the CPU column is producing graphs of the historical data. I could swear that other columns (like MEM and DISK) produced graphs when I initially set it up, but it seemed that these other columns stopped producing graphs after the data moved from "Recently changed" to "Last change > 24 hours". The detail page still shows the magnifying glass, but no graph to go with it. Anyone know what the problem is? Is there a method for debugging this? David Masterson

hello, i hv xymon setup in linux i have 2 hosts having ips 13.1.1.4 and 13.1.1.2 ( internal network) which are reachable by ip address from xymon server.In dns its hostname resolves to its old ip address of 192.168.2.106 &2.107 resp.I get bbd:bbd ok : Ping failed, or dialup host/service Service bbd on tb1.stp.cdac.ernet.in is OK Dialup host/service, or test depends on another failed te Host appears to be down conn :conn NOT ok Service conn on tb1.stp.cdac.ernet.in is not OK : Host does not respond to ping System unreachable for 7323 poll periods (2218000 seconds) [image: red] 192.168.2.107 is unreachable cpu ,disk,info,memory,messages,trends :green files : clear :no files found http :Connection refused[image: clear] http://13.1.1.4/ - Connection refused Seconds: 0.00 ports:Ports NOT ok No port checks defined procs: Processes NOT ok[image: clear] No process checks defined i get files,ports and procs as clear for every host including server How and where to configure for each of these tests.can anybody give its detailed explainnation?also can i know the meaning of all types of reports... -- Pankaj V. bbwin central settings

Is there an option in bbwin central configuration to setup SVCs to autorestart? Here is an example from the local config file for bbwin. <setting name="Automatic Updates" value="started" autoreset="true" alarmcolor="red" /> This configuration will cause the Automatic Updates service to automatically restart if it is not started. >From central config I have SVC Automatic_Updates startup=automatic status=started This causes a red alert if either startup is not automatic or is status is not started. But I don't know how to make it restart. Is there another set of SVC keywords I can use like autoreset=true? I can't find any documentation. Also if I experiment I'm not sure where I will find errors...
