Hey everyone i need help!!! When we had to recover xymon a week back from a backup we have been having lock up issues with the server....Its unix. We fixed the problem but now xymon will update the information on individual hosts but not the graphs or trends....when i click on the graph link it will open a download windows and says not found. In the var/logs/xymon rrd-status i get the following messages hobbitd_rrd: error while loading shared libraries: librrd.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory 2009-06-26 09:50:49 Worker process died with exit code 32512, terminating I've searched the archives but didnt get any real answer. I also tried reinstalling the rrd tool with yum and that didnt solve the problem. Any Ideas???? hi, i have restructered the bb-hosts file like page rack161 <I>Row1-Rack6</I> conn 1.2.3.4 a.b.c.d # 3.4.5.6 e.b.c.d # page rack162 cpu 1.2.3.4 a.b.c.d # 3.4.5.6 e.b.c.d # page rack163 disk 1.2.3.4 a.b.c.d # 3.4.5.6 e.b.c.d # as we have 40 racks each rack has nine nodes in it.i wanted to display all tests on front page hence such setting is done. now i get : 1)ssh is purple 2)host appearing twice error 3)illegal attempt to update errors how to rectify this? -- Pankaj V. Hi all, I want to generate some hobbit / xymon graphs every day. I have been trying to get the following url to work but it keeps failing. Please can some one tell me (I am not a web master) how to get an image generated such as image01.jpg. http://www.docum.org/foswiki/bin/view/Xymon/DebugGraphs I created a file in the cgi directory, add the config and my url. made it executable and ran it using the command but I get. bbcmd hobbitgraph2.cgi > /tmp/graph.out 2009-06-25 14:44:25 Using default environment file /usr/libexec/hobbit/server/etc/hobbitserver.cfg Thanks

I have on occasion considered outboarding the alert processing, and just having Hobbit send alerts for anything to a custom script, where I could exert finer control. -Alan

At the moment I simply put the hobbit client on each guest and the host. There is something for VMware server I believe... Alerting when host goes green

I have a fallback IP that is specified on a device that will only be used in the event it can't reach the DHCP server. Should it have this problem, I (obviously :) would like to know! I am thinking about having it disabled until OK, then just alert me when it changes to green. Does anyone have a better solution? Perhaps something that won't sit on the menu blue for eternity? According to this discussion "http://www.hobbitmon.com/hobbiton/2006/06/msg00575.html", I have to create a file "client/tmp/logfetch.`uname -n`.cfg" with "LOG %/oracle/REG/saptrace/background/alert_REG.log %checkpoint ...". how to trigger in column "msgs" ???

Hi guys, im trying to do an easy thing but its not working. I've been looking in the client-local.cfg manual but it doesnt helped a lot. What i want to do is: -monitor a logfile (like as usual by the column msgs) which is usualy empty. -trigger the status as soon as the logfile get a line --> then it should become red!!! What i tried to do: -put some lines like: "trigger allert", "* COLOR=red" etc... in the client-local.cfg --> didnt work ps: I'm trying to do this in the Hobbit-Server... should i change the config in the client also? does somebody know how i can configure this? thanks, Cayo

I sent an email to Henrik some time ago about getting access to be able to check in bug fixes via svn but got no reply. Is the current list of developers locked or did I miss something?
