Corrupted data in BBALPHAMSG?

Has anyone noticed what appears to be corruption in BBALPHAMSG? I have only noticed this behavior (so far) on disk checks and it always follows the backslash between the Total Space and Available Space. It also seems to be consistent from host to host (ex. The host below will have the same corruption for each disk check other hosts may show slightly different characters but not all hosts exhibit errors). Within my email script all I am doing is 'echo "$BBALPHAMSG" >tmpfile'. rrd graph does not work (mysql)

Hi All, I have a problem with my graphs not showing up correctly. I configured 4 servers with MySql tests (which are all working) but i only get useful graphs for one of them. All others are just have the initial "-nan" values showing up. By the way i've set it up to be shown on the trends page which has the same results: mysql graphs are there but without content. I thought that i set it up just like in the "howtograph.html" but obviously not. Actual and physical

On our Linux (5.1) hosts the memory page (Xymon 4.2.3) reports three values: Actual, physical, and swap. What do the Actual and Physical numbers refer to? The man page for hobbit-clients.cfg doesn't say. Thanks, Steve Holmes Purdue University.

Upgrading xymon question

I'd like to upgrade Xymon from 4.3.0-0.beta2 (most of my files still have hobbit names, i.e. hobbitserver.cfg) to Xymon 4.3.3 I've read the upgrade to 4.3.0 text file, and my only question is, can I use the same steps and go to 4.3.3. Basically, I'd just be using the ./build/upgrade430.sh script to do the renaming of the config files. I'm guessing that will work for any 4.3.X after the 4.3.0-0.beta2 or previous versions, correct? Critical Systems 'Hosts docs'-URL does not show correct URL

Hello all, After years of Xymon usage, I start to use the Critical Systems view. I have setup a BBGENOPTS to use a docurl. I expect this URL to show up on the Critical Systems view. Either as the clickable host; either as the Host docs. However, neither show the correct documentation. In more detail: - I have tested this with 2 Xymon distributions: 4.2.3 and Xymon 4.3.0-0.beta2 - So I have setup: BBGENOPTS="--recentgifs --subpagecolumns=2 --docurl= https://wiki.ourserver.nl/syntax/index.php/ServerInformatie:%s --rss --rsslimit=yellow --rssversion=2.0" # Standard options for bbgen. - Below the screen that shows the Priority 2 call. The link shows the Info-text instead of the expected wiki-docs that does show in normal operation. hello - how much performance information can I get using xymon for web pages? - only the base page? - every object on the web page? How to get full performance for web page - like e.g. www.amazon.com or www.yahoo.com I think that this is not something Xymon can do (and is not meant to do) Kevin

is safe increase msg size?

Hi all: I'm dealing on some basis with this messsage: Oversize status msg from 10.XXX.YYY.ZZZ for myserver:msgs truncated (n=389600, limit=262144). Mostly from windows machines... so I wonder what can be the impact (performance/security/???) of increase the msgs size to 512KB while I'm talking with BBWin people to make adjustments?
