[Xymon 4.3.7] bad imaps check

Hi, I have installed Xymon 4.3.7 on Centos 5.8 x64. Before that, I have installed it on a RHEL 5.6, everything worked fine until I tried to check an imaps server. The Xymon on RHEL is OK, and it grab the ssl certificate, but on the Centos, it displays a yellow error, with the message "Service imaps on my_server is not OK : Unexpected service response", and of course don't see the certificate. The only difference (except the system) is that I've compiled a RPM for the Centos system. When I test imaps with openssl on both systems (openssl s_client -connect my_server:993 -ssl3) the result is * OK [CAPABILITY IMAP4rev1 LITERAL+ SASL-IR LOGIN-REFERRALS ID ENABLE IDLE AUTH=PLAIN] Dovecot ready. XYMON column not displaying [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]

UNCLASSIFIED// Hi, I have a custom script running on my XYMON server. The following link shows the basic setup http://www.xymon.com/xymon/help/xymon-tips.html#scripts As seen the server side script is essentially the same with the exception that I run a python script that returns a COLOR and RESULT. With a few slight modifications I can run this script from /ext and it echo's the correct results. So far so good. Additionally, as I am running XYMON 4.3. I added a new section to the tasks.cfg file along with a NEEDS xymond that is not included in the [myscript] example from the attached link. I updated the hosts.cfg file and added the new service against the IP address and name of a client server. NOT my monitoring server. When I restart XYMON all seems to be running successfully. The Log file does not report any errors and as I said before with a few slight mods I can echo the correct results to the screen. The issue I am having is that even though all appears to be doing its job the new column does not appear on my monitoring page. Any ideas? Would appreciate the guidance. Forwarding status messages

Hi, I am building a new XyMon server to replace an old Hobbit installation that is monitoring a few hundred devices. I would like to somehow like to forward the status messages to the new server while I am testing ... anyone have any ideas ... I thought of trying to use bbproxy, but I suspect hobbitd needs to be stopped ... which defeats the object I suppose. Bug - xymonnet not correctly checking NOPAGENET

Hello, In Xymon 4.3.7 the xymonnet.c file contains the following code: ==================================== /* If a NOPAGENET service, downgrade RED to YELLOW */ if (color == COL_RED) { char *nopagename; /* Check if this service is a NOPAGENET service. */ nopagename = (char *) malloc(strlen(svcname)+3); sprintf(nopagename, ",%s,", svcname); if (strstr(nonetpage, svcname) != NULL) color = COL_YELLOW; xfree(nopagename); } ==================================== As far as I can see this is incorrect because it sets up 'nopagename' but then compares 'svcname' against 'nonetpage'. So all the 'nopagename' code is completely redundant. I suspect what should happen is: if (strstr(nonetpage, nopagename) != NULL) color = COL_YELLOW; This piece of code occurs in two other places - httpresult.c and ldaptest.c. Hi Thomas, I checked the /etc/hosts localhost entry and it is there ... but I am happy to leave it using the servers IP address. Compiling xymon-4.3.7 on Solaris 9

Hi There, I seem to be getting an error compiling 4.3.7 on Solaris 9... I noticed there was a similar error with 4.3.5 when the NETLIBS weren't included in the Makefile... I noticed for 4.3.7, however, that this isn't the case... Is there something im missing?
