A C# client is defintely the way to go. Unfortunately my C# knowledge isn't sufficient for a project on this scale. Requiring you reverse your network model - the Xymon server needs to talk to all of the clients. I’ve looked at MrBig and WinPSClient but MrBig seems to have no one maintaining the code and WinPSClient hasn’t been changed in 2 ¼ years. Is anyone aware of any other options or has anyone considered perhaps writing something? Hi there, You can always try the checkwin agent. see: http://code.google.com/p/checkwin/ When using the NSClient++ (nagios) agent, just be shure to use the NSClient++ 0.3.9 version. Bug? Dropping host doesn't remove hostdata

Hello, Using Xymon 4.3.10 I wanted to remove a host completely, so used the following command on the Xymon server: xymon xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx "drop lib-srvr10" This removed all of the host data except for the 'lib-srvr10' subdirectory in the 'data/hostdata' directory. The subdirectory still contained all of the data files for the host. I had already removed the host from the hosts.cfg file, and restarted Xymon. No errors were seen in any of the log files. Hey folks, I finally got around to setting up a site at Digital Ocean (thanks for the lead, Sean...hopefully the link you send me back in May gave you some credit there). I'm fairly certain that I got all the content over correctly (I went ahead and updated to the latest version of Dokuwiki). Let me know if anything looks funky or misbehaves. This will hopefully prevent the outages I've been experiencing due to my local network. =G=

New "host" seen but no details available?

All -- I am experimenting with creating new server-side tests and so far, things are working well: my new hosts are appearing OK on the web page as well as in the "xymon 0.0.0.0 "xymondboard" " output with correct status colors I'm sending. However, when I click on the status icons for these objects, instead of seeing the extra message text I sent with the "status" command, I get a blank page except for the message "No such host".
