Multiple schedules for DOWNTIME not displaying in info

I've got a server for which I want 2 different DOWNTIME schedules...one for "cpu" and one for "procs". The example on the hosts.cfg man page (http://www.xymon.com/xymon/help/manpages/man5/hosts.cfg.5.html) indicates that the proper syntax for DOWNTIME is: DOWNTIME=columns:day:starttime:endtime:cause[,columns:day:starttime:endtime:cause] Following that example, I've set it up like so: <ip address> <hostname> # OS:aix disk,files,cpu,memory,msgs,ports,procs NOCOLUMNS:inode DOWNTIME=procs:*:2159:0030:"Nightly dwmain and dwstage database backups",cpu:*:0000:2359:"CPU Utilization due to daily jobs" But when I go to the info page, I see: Planned downtime: All days:2159:0030 (status:procs) (cause:Nightly dwmain and dwstage database backups) and at the bottom: Other tags: OS:aix disk,files,cpu,memory,msgs,ports,procs NOCOLUMNS:inode ,cpu:*:0000:2359:CPU Utilization due to daily jobs Should I not see both parts of the DOWNTIME line in the "Planned downtime" area on the client's info page? [xymon] xymon client build on HPUX Itanium dilemma

How can I get around this error? I cannot install a newer gcc binary as this is not my machine. From what I understand gcc version 4 may or will solve this problem? Any solutions out there other than somehow finding an Itanium HPUX machine with gcc 4? Hobbit 4.2.2 compiles fine by the way but obviously I would like the latest Xymon client. Xymon 4.3.16 now available

Hi, Sunday appears to be my preferred day of the week for releasing new Xymon versions, and this Sunday follows that tradition. 4.3.16 is available on Sourceforge now, in source form, as Debian packages, or as pre-compiled plain binary tar-files for Linux. There are no new features in this release, it simply tries to clean up the various mistakes done over the past few weeks. In particular, the accidental merging of client-local.cfg entries that was introduced in 4.3.15 is gone, unless you run xymond with a "--merge-clientconfig" option. The regexp-style matching of hostnames from 4.3.15 still works, also without this option enabled. I realize that I may have carried the Open Source battlecry of "release early, release often" a bit too far here in 2014, so I sincerely hope that there won't be a need for yet another 4.3-release next Sunday. But I hope you'll bear with me, and keep on reporting any weird behaviour you may find. Regards, Henrik

Hello, I was wondering if the question below has been answered? I would also like to know on how use/re-use cookies for http monitor. I noticed that the file server/etc/cookie.session contains the last session cookies used for http testing via POST (i.e. JSESSIONID), but it seems that my webapp instantiates a new http session for every check. This makes very hard to know the REAL number of http sessions on the application server and introduces an offset in the statistics. I searched documentation and mailing list for a way to reuse the session cookie stored in that file, but found no information. Is there a way to reuse the same cookie in all the requests?Rey

I've been using my Solaris BB clients with my Xymon server, but am hoping the xymon client will be more zfs-aware than the ancient BB client. To that end, I'm trying to compile a xymon client. I've spent most of the day fighting with the 'make' process. Following the notes in: http://lists.xymon.com/pipermail/xymon/2013-January/036466.html http://lists.xymon.com/pipermail/xymon/2010-September/029376.html I have modified xymond/Makefile several ways. . . Alert REPEAT not working in 4.3.15.

Hi. A while ago, we upgraded to 4.3.15. It seems like the alert repeat setting isn't working, only the first alert is sent. We have an on-call person that receives the first alert via SMS after 7 minutes. It should then repeat every 15 minutes. The rest of the team gets their first alert after 22 minutes. Setting up xymon

I just set up XYMON on Ubuntu 14.04. I followed all the procedures and I have determined that the main page I can get to but when I click on the other pages I get a 404 error. Enable/disable by class

Hey, Pretty sure this isn't currently possible but what would it take to have the enable/disable script to allow en/disabling by class? Or even just being able to select the set of hosts based on class? =G=
