Hi, I try to find were I can download the latest package of Xymon client PowerShell. Normally I use bbwin 0.13, but I want to look at the PowerShell. Some bbwin client failed for no reason, and I get purple alerts. Thanks. David

odd behavior for UP rule

Seeing some odd behavior from the "UP" rule.. I have the UP rule defined for a specific page/subpage. Here is the exact rule at it is defined in my analysis.cfg file. It is the only place where I have the "UP" rule defined. PAGE=Wintel/wintel_citrix EXHOST=cospvs,cobpvs UP 10m 10d yellow Here is the URL of the page I would expect this test to be applied to: https://lxcobxymonp.hfc.ad/xymon/Wintel/wintel_citrix/wintel_citrix.html The nature of the "odd behavior" is that this rule seems to ALSO get applied to any host defined on the "main" or "top-level" page; CPU test for those hosts changes from green to yellow. If I comment out that rule, the "CPU" status for hosts on the top-level page change from yellow back to green. It seems to be limited to the UP test. If I put in a DISK test that I know should cause a status change (e.g. DISK 20 80 /, disk is at 57%), it does not.. I'm currently v4.3.27 and the only change to the code was a patch I received for r7985. Thanks, Erik D. 4.3.28 RC2 Released

Hello all! 4.3.28 RC2 has been released and should now be available on the SourceForge mirrors. You can download it at https://sourceforge.net/projects/xymon/files/Xymon/4.3.28-rc2/ There are a number of typos fixed from RC2, but RC2 is primarily of interest for those running older versions of OpenSSL (< 1.0.1) as RC1 was broken on those machines. If there were any fixes that I accidentally missed or if you notice any issues with this RC -- especially compiling -- please let me know. Regards, -jc

It’s not the partition the client is on, and it’s been that way for days. So a bit more troubleshooting, I moved all the files out of analysis.d so the only analysis config is the default included from the install and restarted xymon. Ok...I fixed this by adding '-x tmpfs -x devtmpfs' to the df command. Definitely something you may want to consider. Interestingly, emails from my work address don't seem to be making it to the list... Hey, I'm at a loss here. I'm using the Terabithia RPM for my Xymon server and the links that are provided in emails only use the shortname of my xymon server. For example, https://shortname/xymon instead of https://shortname.example.com/xymon I've dug through the xymonserver.cfg file to see where this is being set and I can trace it to XYMONSERVERWWWNAME="$XYMONSERVERHOSTNAME" # The name used for this hosts' webserver where XYMONSERVERHOSTNAME is defined as XYMONSERVERHOSTNAME="$MACHINEDOTS" # The hostname of your server. In the RPM, xymoncmd sets this before we get here I have FQDN="TRUE" set as well. Any idea where I can set this to give me the actual fqdn of the server? I'm assuming that 'xymoncmd' is just pulling in 'hostname' rather than 'hostname -f'. I must be missing something. Anyone have any insight into what I may be missing? =G=

Hey, While I'm questioning things, I noticed that there are 3 vmstat calls run on the server every 5 minutes instead of the 1 that I would expect...Anyone else seeing that behavior? I'm running the Terabithia RPM (yes, I know there is a new release about to come out) on Centos 7. I'm also not getting the disk column and most of the other local tests that I've come to expect, either (memory, cpu, files, etc). thanks =G=
