Hmm. So far, the only way I've been able to reproduce this is by replacing the ScriptAlias directives with mere Alias's in the xymon.conf apache config. Has there been any change in the path you've used for the CGI directory since the previous version, or is there any chance that another Alias line is taking precedence over the ScriptAlias? Problems with Content Security Policy in Safari, Chrome, and IE

Xymon 4.3.28-1.el7.terabithia with Safari 11 on High Sierra and Safari on iOS 11. Problem occurs on the trends page. https://xymon.domain.com.au/xymon-cgi/svcstatus.sh?HOST=host.com.au&SERVICE… If you click on any of the time based buttons, 48hrs for example, the requested page doesn't load. Safari on macOS look like it's loading a page but doesn't get anywhere. Safari on iOS does nothing at all when you tap the button. The console in Safari reveals the following error: Refused to load https://xymon.domain.com.au/xymon-cgi/svcstatus.sh?HOST=host.com.au&SERVICE… because it does not appear in the form-action directive of the Content Security Policy. Checking the headers shows this content security policy: Content-Security-Policy: script-src 'self' 'unsafe-inline'; connect-src 'self'; form-action 'self'; sandbox allow-forms allow-scripts; I'm not that well versed in the CSP stuff, but I note that it also fails with the same error in the latest Chrome 62.0.3202.89, and in Internet Explorer 11.0.9600.18817 (no error logged), but works in the latest Firefox 56.0.2. Has anyone else run into this issue, or has any more information on how I can modify the CSP headers to test? I tried using Header set Content-Security-Policy in apache but that seems to add an improperly formatted addition to the rules rather than overwriting them. Thanks, JT

We recently set up automated ReaR/fsarchiver backups on our systems, and on some of our machines running older OSes this created havoc as something ("fsarchiver5", we think) ran roughshod over the disk and deleted thousands of files instead of archiving/backing them up. This caused "xymonlaunch" to crash on a few of them. Despite having restored the missing files from tape backups, repeated re-launchings of the "xymon-client" service and even a reinstall/upgrade (to 4.3.28) we're still getting these purple alerts. (It feels like Xymon is seeing some file lying around and deciding that "xymonlaunch" is still in crashed status because of it.) How do I fix this? I suppose I could do 'xymon 127.0.0.1 "drop myhost xymond"' on my monitoring host but that just doesn't feel right ... Hi Galen, I have been trying to get your Xymon Notes Editor working. I have fixed a number of issues in the code or with your instructions, but I'm stuck on probably the last issue. Most of the issues may be caused by your code getting munged when you uploaded it to Xymonton - I'm not sure. For example I needed to add a few carriage returns: Line 24 and before 'HTML': Can't find string terminator "HTML" anywhere before EOF at /usr/share/xymon/cgi-secure/bbnote_editor.cgi line 161 As well as somewhere around: Unmatched right curly bracket at /usr/share/xymon/cgi-secure/bbnote_editor.cgi line 46, at end of line But I still have this error and I'm not sure where the issue really is because this is the end of the file: Missing right curly or square bracket at /usr/share/xymon/cgi-secure/bbnote_editor.cgi line 234, at end of line With the instructions, there should have been instructions to install perl-CGI and create the www/notes directory. Can you help with EOF right clurly or square bracket error please? And / or try re-uploading to Xymon, or posting a copy of the code for download either from this list or from somewhere else. Hi, Using xymon-4.3.28 on SLES 11sp4, and had a hopefully quick alert.cfg question. I have the following stanza ... CLASS=TEST SERVICE=cpu COLOR=purple,red MAIL me at some.site REPEAT=120m RECOVERED DURATION>10m TIME=W:0800:2000 It alerts me when a test box goes status turns purple or red during the time window, but never sends a recovered email. It works find with our disk stanza... CLASS=TEST SERVICE=disk COLOR=purple,red MAIL me at some.siteu REPEAT=60m RECOVERED DURATION>5m TIME=W:0800:2000 Any suggestions, or are cpu alerts odd in some way? Conn/Ping Test/Graph to Secondary (Backup) IP

Good afternoon, Having just upgraded from Xymon 4.2.3 on CentOS 5.11, our environment is now Xymon 4.3.28-1.el7.terabithia on CentOS 7.4. We have a group of systems defined that monitors (via conn/ping) the internal interface of the primary router at each of our remote offices to tell us whether or not the connection is up. Each office also has a secondary/backup network connection that is used for load balancing, VoIP, and failover. In order to see each site as a single row on the web page we wrote a client-side extension to ping the backup router's internal interface. The monitoring, display, and alerting all work like we'd hoped (and has for a long time). Unlike the primary connection's monitor, however, the backup connection is not creating a RRD file so can't be graphed. I am trying to fix that, and have been looking at the help page for setting up a custom graph but I can't seem to connect the dots properly. The key logic from /etc/xymon-client/ext/voiptest.sh are: ## ## Logic to build remote site list happens first ## foreach my $voipsvr (@rmt_names) { $color = GREEN; $status = $bbtest .
