bbtest-net core dumps when reading bb-services

Hi, I'm running the 4.1.2.p1-1 .deb-package on a Debian Sarge box. After not getting any test results I realized that the bbtest-net daemon does not even start, but directly segfaults after startup. After playing around with strace I figured out that it has to do with the service definitions. After I moved /etc/hobbit/bb-services away, it starts perfectly, just complaining that it has to use internal defaults. does client/bin/hobbitlaunch read clientlaunch.cfg after changes?

Hi, according to the manpages hobbitlaunch on the server recognizes changes in the config file automatically. I have the impression that client/hobbitlaunch doesn't. MRTG & Hobbit

All, I am using the built-in mrtg hobbit functionality (i.e. not using bb-mrtg) I used cfgmaker on my server to build my mrtg.cfg. I am running mrtg against a cisco 6509 switch BTW. cfgmaker generated the mrtg.cfg with all the interfaces on the switch. A little tweaking got it generating graphs correctly. The labels on each graph look mostly correct (i.e. .fa0_0_0 inbound and .fa0_0_0) {the . in front of the label name is why I say mostly correct, I don't really care much about that} so that is all good. Here's the question. The fa0_0_0 is useful for my network guy, but doesn't mean anything to me. Looking at the mrtg.cfg I see it has in it the info that would be useful to me. I have two questions: 1. Is there a chance that someone is working on Webmin module for Hobbit? Something likes the existing BigBrother module. Does anyone knows about other (not Webmin) Hobbit Admin Web interface 2. Is there a way to enable users to view only its own monitoring systems? It is easy to create the HTML directory but the CGI files are shared. I want to create a few "views" or split in some way the Hobbit hosts page. Disk test not turning red

I have Hobbit 4.1.2 running on varying SLES8 and SLES9 systems. A Hobbit client reports the following (in the client data): [df] Filesystem 1024-blocks Used Available Capacity Mounted on /dev/dasda1 788632 670344 78228 90% / /dev/dasdb1 1559000 1479812 0 100% /opt shmfs 322136 0 322136 0% /dev/shm The disk test for this system shows the same information. There is nothing in the hobbit-clients for this host that would change how the disk test is reported. hobbit client configuration.

Hi All, I am looking at some strange behaviour of the client part. I have 2 servers with the hobbit client. In the hobbit-clients.cfg file I have written the following HOST=myserver1.domain.com PROC heartbeat 7 PROC syslogd PROC cron PROC sshd PROC httpd PROC ipvs the same for both servers. Now if I go to the proc page I see "No process checks defined" and only in the event of an error does the right client configuration appear on the page, but only for a second after which it goes bach to "No process checks defined". Running clients and servers on RHEL3 using hiobbit 4.1.2.p Any thoughts ? Regards, Thomas
