This is not really a problem, just more of a question. I have rules defined for paging but when I click on the "Info" column for a given host, I see the following: No e-mail/SMS alerting defined I know it is defined because I get pages when something goes wrong. Any idea why this says this? One other piece of info...all my alerting rules use macros...does this matter? Thanks KEvin

I installed the post-RC2 patch and 30 minutes later hobbitd went purple. The last entry in hobbitd.log is: 2005-02-17 15:43:56 hobbitd servername MACHINE='server,domain,com' not listed in bb-hosts, dropping hobbitd status I checked bb-hosts, and it's in there: 1.2.3.4 server.domain.com # testip BBDISPLAY BBPAGER BBNET bbd ssh http://server.domain.com /hobbit/ https://1.2.3.4 smtp apache:http://127.0.0.1/server-status?auto Did I botch the patch?

Disk space alerts

Does hobbit allow you to send disk space alerts to different people. For example if I have a data base machine, the sys admins would get the O/S type alerts, the DBA's get the database filesystem alerts, and the WEB developers would get the WEB filesystem alerts. This was always my big wish list from BB. Several people have asked for it, so I'm addding this as an option. You'll run bbgen with "--recentgifs=30m" to have them show up for only 30 minutes. Henrik

Program crashed - MY FAULT

Henrik, At some point just before I patched the file, I had also added the "apache" key word to a host in bb-hosts. After removing it and restarting Hobbit, everything returned to normal. Sorry for blaming that on the patch. I will try to re-patch it and let you know if the patch works, as it probably does. Thank you for your help!
