This afternoon, I updated my Xymon installation to 4.3.20 from 4.3.19.
Since that point, every host in my configuration shows CPU as recently
green, and when I go into the CPU status, every one of them...including
the Xymon server itself...shows "WARNING: Flapping status" at the top
of their page...even though the history doesn't show any change in
status, at all, from green.

Im looking in my alerts.log file and there is some Stale alerts like this:
2015-05-18 10:23:55 Stale alert for xxx:updates dropped
2015-05-18 10:23:55 Stale alert for xxx:cpu dropped
2015-05-18 10:23:55 Stale alert for xxx:procs dropped
2015-05-18 10:23:55 Stale alert for xxx:msgs dropped
2015-05-18 10:23:55 Stale alert for xxx:files dropped
What means this Stale alert? Why this happens and how to avoid this messages?

Hi JC,
When I try to install the 4.3.20 client the install fails with "Requires: liblz4.so.1()(64bit)", however in your documentation it seems like that package is optional. Can you clarify if this is a mistake in the package or documentation? Or is that package really a requirement?

Hi all,
I'm looking at upgrading from Xymon 4.3.4 to Xymon 4.3.20 soon and wondered
if there were any particular things I need to worry about. Having read
release notes it doesn't seem like it to me but I wondered if anyone had
come across any particular gotcha’s.

Xymon 4.3.20 has been released to SF and is now available for download.

A shout out to all of those who've contributed feature ideas and bug
reports along the way... 4.3.20 fixes several long-standing issues dealing
with 'summary' reports, pullclient requests, and memory reporting on
recent Linux kernels. Some nifty additional functionality includes:
- multiple graphs can be displayed (automatically) on a single status report
- HEAD-only URL checks can be performed
- the raw clientlog now gets its own column on xymon pages, allowing more
direct access by users (this can be disabled with the 'noclient' tag)

files.
Of special note: On new installs, the 'cgiwrap' binary is now hardlinked
instead of symlinked from the various calling scripts. This should obviate
the need to add FollowSymLinks to those directories in your apache config
that was introduced in 4.3.18.

In testing 4.3.20, I've noticed that the 'msgs' column (for hosts
running the xymon solaris client) contain lines from my logs even when
they are reporting 'green'. I don't really want the contents of
/var/adm/messages leaked to every viewer of my Xymon web interface.
I now see that this behavior is also on my 4.3.17 server. I've just
never noticed it because:
A) I never visit any 'green' bubbles
B) I only have three hosts running the xymon client
When the test goes 'red', I can see value in displaying the offending
lines from the log, but I can't see any value in continually leaking
arbitrary lines of my logs to arbitrary users. Is there an easy way to
suppress these log lines from the green status messages?
Argh. I've only now noticed that the 'cpu' column is also spilling all
of my running processes. I thought I had taken care of that problem when
I suppressed the 'procs' column. Does anyone actually derive value from
having this information continually published on the Xymon web interface
for all the world to see?

I noticed the adreplication test has a typo in the powershell client v2.01.
Line 2287 $output = ('status {0}.adreplicaton {1} {2}' -f $script:clientname, $alertColour, $outputtext)
It should be adreplication (missing the i)
