multiple graphs on same custom script

Hello, I have a custom script that generates several pieces of data, which are being collected perfectly in their respective RRD files. The issue I have is that the different data that is collected are drastically different in scale to each other, to the point where if I put them on the same graphs.cfg configuration, the lesser numbers on the graph stay stagnant at the bottom of the scale. With that said, is there a way to have multiple graphs for the same column on the xymon homepage? Is it as simple as having two definitions with the same heading (as shown below)? Hello Olivier, at the moment I am running the new Powershell client on an host, which has very little load (win 2008 r2). I can see a cut, since the moment I switched the clients. So I am pretty sure, that the new client performs much better. Hello Zak, thank you a lot for your good work. The Script works pretty well, until now everything went exactly as it should. Our Xymon server is on Version 4.3.17, but our Windows Clients are still using the old BBwin Binary. So they are configured local. Is there any chance to have a localclient.cfg, which can be used by your Powershell Script, like we have on the Linux Clients ? Otherwise a migration to the new Client would be very painfull for us. Hello, I need to disply satus information of specific systems in another webpage with custom design. This website will be running on another webserver. I tried to get xml report from xymon, but I am not able to get history information in this case. Is there any way to do this easily ? Thanks Anoop

Running server-side custom test more often than every 5 minutes

I have the a server side test that my manager wants to run once a minute. I set it up in (a file included by) tasks.cfg, like this: [VHRPING] ENVFILE /usr/local/xymon/server/etc/xymonserver.cfg NEEDS xymond CMD /usr/local/xymon/server/ext/bbvhr_rrd.sh LOGFILE $XYMONSERVERLOGS/vhrping.log INTERVAL 5m I changed this so the last line reads INTERVAL 1m but it still seems to be running only every 5 minutes. Is there anything else I need to change in order to run this test once a minute? (Xymon version 4.3.10) Thanks, glauber

Xymon 4.3.18 Released

Hello, Xymon 4.3.18 has been released to SourceForge (https://sourceforge.net/projects/xymon/) and should be populating on the mirrors shortly. 4.3.18 fixes a buffer overflow vulnerability in the acknowledge.cgi script (tracked as CVE-2015-1430). Thank you to Mark Felder and Martin Lenko for their assistance in this. This release also modifies the CGI interface to remove any dependencies on a shell interpreter, as a protection against any future "Shellshock"-type bash vulnerabilities. (Only users running bash as their /bin/sh interpreter would have been affected.) As a result, the Apache configuration for the web interface and your cgioptions.cfg file may need to be adjusted, depending on your configuration. Several other small bugs have also been addressed. For more details on those, see the Changes file in the distribution. Regards, -jc

Unless someone has a really nice DNS monitoring add-on that they can share, my suggestion for carefully monitoring DNS latency would be to use Smokeping: http://oss.oetiker.ch/smokeping/ It does a better job at DNS latency as it will send many queries over a shorter period of time and graph them in a really useful way.
