Graphed values divided 100 ?

I recently setup a new 4.3.7 Xymon box (my current production one is 4.2.2) and all my graphs seems to be "the value" divided by 100..... Ex:) my last poll for cpu on a particular router shows 18%, but the graph shows cur as 0.18%. The 4.2.2 server does not show this behavior and the templates that are used on the new server were are all copied over from the current production server. Guy's, Im trying to get rrd data stored, but no rrd files are being created. One of my devmon test is produces this: RegisteredPhone: 8765 UnRegisteredPhone:13 RegRejected:2 RRD2TEST is phones=ncv graph is phones NVC_env="RegisteredPhone:GAUGE,UnregisteredPhone:GAUGE,RegRejected:GAUGE" There are is no phones.rrd file being created. testing folder modified date on winderz?

Has anyone created an external script for BBWin which would be able to check the modification date of a folder on a Windows server? I am looking for something similar to the FILE test where mtime<NNN but for a folder/directory. Hi All , I am new to hobbit and Perl . We are looking at implementation the "dbcheck.pl" script for monitoring Oracle and SQL Server databases .I had few questions regarding the script * Is there any documentation available for the script ? * What does the following in the ini file mean ? Running the Availability Report from a crontab entry

xymond messages

I've been getting messages like this: Data flooding from xxx.xxx.94.22, closing connection in my xymond log. The IP address is my main xymon server. I am running xymonproxy on this server on port 1984, sending data both to port 1985 on the same server where xymond is listening and to my test/development box. Any idea what is causing it and/or how to fix it? Thanks, Larry Barber

http content tests

I'm trying to do a content test on a webpage. Looking at www.xymon.com <http://www.xymon.com/> I find the following in the hosts.cfg, cont=webmail;https://webmail.hswn.dk/squirrelmail/src/login.php;HSWN however I have the following in my hosts.cfg cont;http://ukxxxxxx01/xx/test.jsp?number=22;23 As far as I can see this should return red as the content does not contain 23 but it stays green. The page source that comes back from this jsp is just 22 (or whatever number you put in the test. Can anyone help me resolve this? Where to find the latest hostdata (or: How to monitor one process on two servers)?

Hi all, I have a pair of servers that run Veritas Cluster Software and they have a number of different processes that they run in turn. Simply put it means that there is a process that will be running on one or another of the two servers and at any given time I will not know which server it runs on. The important thing for me is that it is running, so I set about creating a monitor that will check for this. I can't have something that runs on the client since I won't know which client the process runs on but it struck me that the server always has an up to date process list, so I could simply read the hostdata file for the two servers, rip out the process list, concatenate the two and search for the specific process name, simple! This is a brilliant idea that would work if only I had access to the up to date client data. It seems that the data stored in the hostdata directory only changes when a status for that server changes to an alert state (according to the xymond_hostdata web page) so if the process switches to a different machine but nothing actually changes the alert status of the client, the latest host data is not stored in the hostdata/ subdirectory. I know that the latest host data is stored somewhere because I can see it in the web browser. Does anyone know where this up to date host data is kept such that I can utilise the information in it?
