Issue with only blue color while resizing the any graph

Hi, we have been running xymon 4.2.2 from last 2 years on rhel 5.2. Suddenly, issue of displaying only blue color while resizing any graph is coming i.e.when we click on magnifier sign on any of the graphs, complete blue color appears and no graph data is displayed. Tried to add some code like this in menu.css in www dir, .zoomSensitiveZone { opacity:0; } .zoomBox { opacity:0.5; } as seen from old posts but does not seem to be working. Kindly help.

Two newbie analysis.cfg syntax questions - include file and class syntax

OK this is basic but I can't find an answer or example online 1) what *exactly* is the syntax for including a file in analysis.cfg? Should it be include myfile.cfg or #include myfile.cfg or what? also, I'm failing utterly to get the CLASS syntax to work in analysis.cfg. I've got some classes set up and they works fine in client-local.cfg but analysis.cfg does not see to see anything with CLASS For example I have in hosts.cfg 10.100.1.60 db3.example.com # CLASS:db ntp 10.100.1.61 db4.example.com # CLASS:db ntp I'm using the db CLASS in client-local.cfg and it's fine, does the right thing. But If I start a section in analysis.cfg with HOST=%^db[2|3|4|5|6|8].example.com everything works fine. But if I change the section to CLASS=db nothing happens. Is that the right syntax

Network Traffic Graph - Fedora 15

I've been running xymon 4.3.3 on Fedora 14 for a month or two without any issues. I recently upgraded to Fedora 15 and now my "Network Traffic" graph in trends is no longer working. They changed up something with network card naming in Fedora 15, and my NIC is no longer called eth0 (or eth<anything>). The interface is now called p33p1. Should xymon be able to figure that out on it's own or do I need to tell it to look for more than ethX? Thanks. s0a4m

Well, probably not "soon". RHEL lags Fedora by at least a couple of years, generally. F15 "broke" a lot of other things with the moves to systemctl, Gnome3, etc, btw. Also, btw, there's been a huge amount of controversy and bikeshedding over the pro/con of ethx names, which have been somewhat arbitrarily assigned for some time. I think I was wrong. I the two servers are behaving differently because they were configured differently. The server misbehaving was actually configured (analysis.cfg) to see a performance alert. The server that was not reporting red properly was reporting yellow and the yellow masked the red status. It seems a yellow status (that I configured in analysis.cfg) will override a red status (ie. service failure). ntpdate / sntp

Hi all, I just setup ntp checking for the first time. With SuSE they have themselves deprecated ntpdate - it now only outputs a message saying to use sntp instead. I only worked out sntp can be used by looking at the xymonnet source code. It would be helpful if a commented SNTP entry were put in xymonserver.cfg - here is a suggestion: #SNTP="/usr/sbin/sntp" # Path to the 'sntp' program - sntp will be used instead of ntpdate if set Also, it would help to have a mention in the hosts.cfg man page, perhaps something like the following wording: This test uses the "ntpdate" or the "sntp" utility to check for a NTP server. This is selected by setting the environment variable in $XYMONHOME/etc/xymonserver.cfg. Finally, the -u parameter for sntp inserted by xymonnet - the full list: "-u -d %d %s" - doesn't work with the sntp that comes with the ntp distribution. -u is not a parameter. many thanks for xymon, Phil

Hi all, I'm trying to get SNMP Traps from VMWare showing up in Xymon. I think the issue is with the trap format from VMWare and I suspect I may need to tweak my snmptt.conf file for this. I have attached my snmptt.conf file and here is a an example of what I am seeing in my /var/log/messages file.
