Hi, I need to monitore a Barracuda appliance but at first, i'd like to know is somebody already did the external scripts. Windows PS client svcs data missing

Hi everyone, I've run into a problem with the Windows Powershell client intermittently omitting service data on Win2008. I already updated the client to the latest PS client files available and it still is happening. Problem: - a noc person ACK's a yellow for 24 hours and puts information into the ACK about actions taken. When the ACK expires, the information is lost (at least in the GUI) Suggestion: -be able to find whether an alert has been ack'ed previously, see the ACK history, by clicking on the alert -have ACKs show up in history Alternative suggestion -be able to look up ACK's in the event history report I'm trying to train people to ACK instead of signing out but the loss of info is a real problem What are other people doing? thanks Betsy

GROUP and combo testing and alerting

Hi all, In April i had asked about multiple procs to one GROUP Can you have multiple procs associated to one GROUP? http://lists.xymon.com/archive/2011-April/031278.html Can that same GROUP be used in a combo test? It doesn't look like it's possible but I'm tossing it out there anyway. Basically 4 Windows servers running software specific to logfile monitoring with 1 of them always in standby mode. One group needs to know when the processes for their application switches and doesn't care for the processes the systems group looks for and vice-versa. Being a regular joe, I don't have access to these servers to write a local test, so that's out. I'm using BBWin_0.12 in central mode. Thanks Greg Shea EMC Corporation

Configuring Devmon for the first time

I copied the templates from SF and put them in the templates directory. I am trying this with apc-9619. >From what I've read, it simply looks to match a string in sysdesc of templates/apc-9619/specs with what comes back from the sysDescr snmp query. underscores and combo.cfg

Hi, I have lots of column names that contain underscores. I tried to use those tests in a combo test with very odd results. I have not seen anything in the documentation about underscores being an illegal character. Is that the case ?
