Lost history after rename of test column

Running Hobbit 4.2.0. After rename of some custom tests and deleting the old name, discovered that trying to view History tells me "cannot open history file". It appears there is no history file for the newly named tests, that I can find. Neither is there one for the old named tests, which is probably due to my having deleted the test column. I know there was history for the old named test. Have I missed a step? Do I need to run rrdtool, create, or something?

Monitoring a webpage that requires auth

I have a Cisco web application that shows me the status of my environment. However, in order to access the status page, I first need to authenticate. I realize xymon has auth capabilities built into the http content test. But that doesn't seem to work in my environment. Once I log into the front page, I need to navigate to a second page..which is where my status is displayed. Is there any way to grab http content tests from that second page? Thanks

Use of underscores

I am learning (very slowly) that using underscores (_) in column names can be a very bad thing. This really comes to light when I try to graph the data from one of those pages... If the data requires an NCV_* entry in xymonserver.cfg, I never get any data in the server's rrd data folder. Is there a quick way to get around that (I am apparently really fond of using underscores in names)? -dan

Linux client broken output

Dear, We are running Xymon on a Sun Fire v100 with Solaris 10 installed. On several Oracle systems with Oracle VM (Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.5 (Tikanga)) with 64 bit we are running Hobbit clients (FC5-hobbit-client-4.2.0-1.i386.rpm). The hobbit clients are 32 bit because those are the only wants we could find. Problem: sometimes several tests like procs/disk/cpu is giving weird values in the monitoring which makes Xymon red. However, everything is fine and after restarting the client or after next update (5 minutes default), Xymon becomes green again. Data size should not be the reason as I can see all the client data clear including a complete process list. It's just broken on the output page at the procs test. TS - 'route:' statement for DUAL homed devices

I am using the 'route:' statement for dependencies currently. In my environment, I have dual everything to the wiring closet, or dual homed servers. Is there a way to have a device watch for BOTH paths back? In other words, if both connections fail then the SERVER will turn YELLOW and show the unreachable cause. 3 Examples: I can watch for a failure of "wiring-closet-switch" but cannot go any farther back CISCO-6500A à 1 gig fiber connectionà wiring-closet-switch à SERVER CISCO-6500B à 1 gig fiber connection ---^ CISCO-6500A à top-of-rack-switch à SERVER CISCO-6500B ----^ CISCO-6500A à SERVER CISCO-6500B ----^ Would this work? hobbitd question

My hobbitd stays in yellow state but i am unsure why. I have checked the log files and found nothing out of the ordinary is there anyway. I simulate running the test that reports back for the hobbitd test in debug mode and see what is causing it. Thanks

Feature request, CPU utilization graph

Hi. The CPU utilization graphs on the trends page is missing info. The utilization "types" do not add upp to 100% all the time. I suspect that IO wait and maybe some other types are missing from the graphs. You can see what I mean if you check the attached graph. It would be nice to get the remaining info into the graph as well. /Johan
